Raheem Mostert did not see a carry in the Dolphins’ Week 10 win over the Rams, adding 34 yards on two receptions.
Mostert barely the saw the field behind De’Von Achane through the first three quarters and then ceded change of pace reps to rookie Jaylen Wright in the fourth, notching just two receptions on three targets for the totality of his counting stats. It was an interesting game plan for the Miami backfield considering Mostert is typically good for near 10 carries per game. Either way, the team sneaks out of Week 10 with a win as they cling to playoff hope as we kick off the back nine of the 2024 NFL season.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #6

DeVonta Smith (hamstring) did not practice on Friday.
Smith was unable to get on the practice field this week. Regarding his Week 12 availability, head coach Nick Sirianni said earlier that the team would see how he feels by the end of the day, but it’s hard to imagine Smith suiting up for Sunday’s game against the Rams after missing a full week of practice. He has been playing through this injury for the last few weeks, but may have finally pushed things too far by playing in Week 11. If he cannot play, the Eagles could be looking at Jahan Dotson serving as their WR2 opposite A.J. Brown, giving him some WR4/WR5 utility in deeper leagues.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #1
Giants beat writer Dan Duggan reports Malik Nabers is dealing with a groin injury after he was spotted on the sideline in Friday’s practice.
The biggest concern here is Nabers being a late addition to the team’s injury report, although it’s worth noting he played through a groin injury back in Week 7. The Athletic’s Charlotte Carroll later added that Nabers told reporters in October that “he’s been dealing with a groin issue since college and playing through it since then.” What this mean’s for his Week 12 availability is anybody’s guess at this time. We’ll see where things stand when the Giants release their final injury report in a few hours from now.
  • PHI Quarterback #1
Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said Jalen Hurts (ankle) is “good to go” for Week 12 against the Rams.
Hurts was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice but upgraded to a full participant on Thursday. With Friday’s practice still to go, Sirianni wasted no time letting people know that his star quarterback will be ready to play on Sunday against the Rams. Hurts profile as a high-end QB1 in Week 12 and enters the game having scored a rushing touchdown in five-straight games.
  • WAS Cornerback #23
Commanders CB Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) won’t play in Week 12 against the Cowboys.
Lattimore has not practiced with the team since being acquired at the trade deadline earlier this month. He was initially expected to miss a game or two due to his injury but will now miss his third-straight game as a Commander. His next chance to suit up will be in Week 13 against the Titans.
  • FA Quarterback #8
    Giants released QB Daniel Jones.
Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz was the first to report the release. This move doesn’t come as much of a surprise after Jones seemingly made his final statement as a member of the Giants in a Thursday presser. The team announced earlier this week that Jones would be relegated to QB3 on the depth chart in favor of Tommy DeVito, but now he’ll hit waivers after being granted his release. Jones will presumably clear waivers due to his massive contract, which would then leave him free to sign with any team. Jones didn’t make it through the second year of the four-year contract extension he signed in 2023. Since signing that deal, he’s thrown for 2,979-10-13 while going 3-13 as a starter. Jones is due over $13.8 million in 2024 and the Giants will take on more than $20 million in dead money with his release. He’ll likely get a fresh start as a backup once he clears waivers, but his days as a permanent starter have likely come to an end.
  • SF Quarterback #13
49ers GM John Lynch said Brock Purdy (shoulder) underwent an MRI and that the team “feels good about where it is from that standpoint.”
Like Kyle Shanahan, Lynch also wouldn’t commit to Purdy’s Week 12 availability. Instead, he said the situation “is tenuous” while adding that the team will “go forth accordingly” after getting a look at Purdy in Friday’s practice. If Purdy is unable to play, Brandon Allen would be the favorite to start. Lynch said Allen would take the first snaps in practice if Purdy can’t go. Things remain very wait-and-see for Purdy at this time.
  • FA Tackle #74
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports free agent OT D.J. Humphries has been medically cleared to return from the torn ACL he suffered last season.
Humphries is a 10-year vet of the league who has spent his entire year with the Cardinals. He started all 15 games he appeared in last season and earned a PFF pass-blocking grade of 68.4 while allowing four sacks on 28 pressures. Humphries visited with the Giants in late October but could prove valuable to a team late in the season should an injury arise. Now available to sign and participate in practices, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Humphries land with a team in the coming days/weeks.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #18
Mike Williams was held without a target in the Steelers’ Week 12 loss to the Browns.
Williams has now posted back-to-back zero-target efforts, and has all of one look in three games as a Steeler. We will let you know if you have to start paying attention in fantasy again.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #19
Calvin Austin III caught 3-of-3 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers’ Week 12 win over the Browns.
Both the catches and yards were Austin’s second most of the season, while the touchdown was only his third. He contributed a 46-yard grab down the field before hauling in a 23-yard scoring strike where Russell Wilson split the defense over the middle. Austin is capable of pop-up efforts like this evening, but he doesn’t do it anywhere close to frequently enough to be a reliable WR4.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #8
Elijah Moore caught 3-of-5 targets for 21 yards in the Browns’ Week 12 win over the Steelers.
Moore gets a pass for his quietest outing in four games with Jameis Winston as starter, as it came in a swirling Cleveland snowstorm where completions were tough to come by. It’s still unlikely he bounces back in Week 13 as a WR4 against the Broncos on Monday Night Football, as Denver has been one of the league’s stingiest teams when it comes to allowing tight end fantasy points. Of course, that might not end up mattering if Winston ends up in negative game script and attempts his usual 35-40 passes.
