Vikings declared QB Brett Rypien, CB Fabian Moreau, CB Dwight McGlothern, OL Dan Feeney, OT Walter Rouse and DL Levi Drake Rodriguez inactive for Week 10 against the Jaguars.
It is the quietest possible list for a Vikings team that remains fairly healthy, at least amongst players currently on the 53-man roster. Their injured reserve does speak to a more complicated situation.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Cardinals’ OC Klayton Adams will interview with the Cowboys on Friday for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
This is a second interview for Adams, who spoke with the team remotely earlier this week. Considered by many to be the frontrunner to land the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator vacancy, there’s a good chance Adams will find himself in a new role before the weekend. Cowboys executive VP Stephen Jones praised Adams for being “outstanding” in the run game — an area the Cowboys hope to improve on in 2025 after ranking 27th in total rushing yards and 30th in yards per carry last season. The Cowboys’ rushing game needs more than an upgrade at offensive coordinator, but this is a backfield that is expected to see a massive overhaul during the offseason with Ezekiel Elliott no longer in the building and Rico Dowdle set to hit free agency.

Jets hired Chris Harris, formerly of the Titans, to the coaching staff.
Harris was interviewed for the Jets defensive coordinator role, but that job ended up going to Steve Wilks. Now, Harris will join the Jets in a role that is yet to be determined but will likely mirror the one he previously held in Tennessee when he was the pass game coordinator and cornerbacks coach.

Jets beat writer Connor Hughes reports “the expectation” is that the Jets will hire Lions pass game coordinator Tanner Engstrand as their offensive coordinator.
This news comes on the heels of learning that Rams pass game coordinator Nick Caley told the Jets he was not interested in the position. Engstrand has familiarity with head coach Aaron Glenn after the two have spent the last four seasons together in Detroit. Engstrand has worked as the Lions’ pass game coordinator since 2022 and presumably worked closely with former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who was hired as the Bears’ head coach earlier this month. We’re still waiting for official word on Engstrand’s hiring, but we’d expect something to finalized soon.

Jets beat writer Connor Hughes reports Rams pass game coordinator Nick Caley informed the team he is not interested in their offensive coordinator vacancy.
According to Hughes, Caley was the Jets’ top option to fill the role. Now, Hughes reports “the expectation” is that the Jets will hire Lions’ pass game coordinator as their offensive coordinator — although nothing has been made official at this time. Caley has been on several teams’ radars this coaching cycle, and has had interviews with both the Jaguars and Buccaneers to discuss their OC openings. With several offensive coordinator positions still available, it wouldn’t be surprising if Caley wound up with a new team in 2025.
  • JAX Defensive Coordinator
Jaguars hired Packers LBs coach Anthony Campanile as defensive coordinator.
Campanile’s first crack as an NFL defensive coordinator will come with the new-look Jaguars. The long-time linebackers coach joins Liam Coen’s staff after being passed on by the 49ers in favor of Robert Saleh and will now be tasked with taking over a defense that ranked in the bottom 10 in points allowed, yards allowed, EPA per play, and success rate allowed. He’ll have his work cut out for him, but with young talents like Devin Lloyd, Travon Walker, and Josh Hines-Allen already in place, he should have plenty to work with out of the gate.

Raiders hired John Glenn as linebackers coach.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero was first to report the hiring. Glenn will reunite with Pete Carroll as he was previously the linebacker coach under Carroll with the Seahawks for six seasons.
  • NYG Coaching Staff #55
Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reports that the Giants are hiring Illinois assistant LB coach Grant Morgan to the coaching staff.
It’s not known yet what title Morgan will have, but it’d be surprising if it wasn’t on the defensive side and working with the linebackers. The 27-year-old spent the last two seasons working with the Fighting Illini under head coach Bret Bielema, and Illinois has been one of the better defensive teams in the country over the past few years.

Texans interviewed Vikings assistant offensive coordinator/assistant quarterbacks coach Grant Udinski for their vacant offensive coordinator position.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter notes that this is the fourth interview for Udinski, as he also interviewed with the Patriots before they settled on Josh McDaniels, and recently interviewed with the Buccaneers and Seahawks. It would be more surprising than not if Udinski wasn’t an OC with a new club than not at this point, and a matchup with the Texans after they moved on from Bobby Slowik makes sense on paper.

Lions hired David Shaw, formerly of the Broncos, as their passing game coordinator.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero was the first to report. Shaw spent last season in the Broncos’ front office as a senior personnel executive but will now join a revamped Lions staff to assist with their passing game. It’s Shaw’s first job as an NFL coach since 2005, when he served as the Ravens’ wide receivers coach. He will be reunited with new Lions offensive coordinator John Morton, who spent last season as the Broncos passing game coordinator. Shaw has fielded several NFL interviews for various positions since departing from Stanford after the 2022 college football season. At just 52 years old, there is plenty of time for Shaw to coach his way into a head coaching role at the NFL level if he’s interested in doing so.

KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reports the Texans requested an interview with Commanders passing game coordinator Brian Johnson for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Johnson was the offensive coordinator for the Eagles in 2023 and has also served as a college offensive coordinator during stints at Utah (2012-2013), Houston (2017), and Florida (2018-2019). He joined the Commanders’ staff this offseason as their assistant head coach and passing game coordinator but could once again find himself in a play-caller role if he catches on with the Texans. During his lone season as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator, the Eagles ranked seventh in points per game (25.5) and eighth in yards per game while also ranking in the top 10 in both EPA per play and offensive success rate. Once viewed as a rising play-caller who also helped with the development of Jalen Hurts, Johnson could make for a nice pairing with third-year quarterback C.J. Stroud next season.
