  • CAR Wide Receiver #19

Adam Thielen (hamstring) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
Thielen is making progress in his return from injured reserve. With Diontae Johnson now out of town and Xavier Legette being added to the injury report with a toe injury, Thielen may be asked to handle a sizable workload, if active in Week 9. He is only a flex option with Bryce Young under center though.
  • CIN EDGE #94

Bengals added Sam Hubbard (hamstring) was listed as limited in Thursday’s practice.
Hubbard was a surprise addition to the Bengals’ injury report. The veteran pass rusher has played in every game for the team this season and has 33 tackles and two sacks on the year. We’ll have a better since of his Week 9 availability when Friday’s injury report is released. Wide receiver Charlie Jones (groin) and safety Geno Stone (shin) were also added to Thursday’s report and listed as limited.
  • LV Wide Receiver #16
Jakobi Meyers (ankle) was listed as a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Wednesday was likely a maintenance day for Meyers, who got in a full practice on Thursday and should be good to go for Week 9 against the Bengals. Meyers caught six passes for 52 yards in last week’s loss to the Chiefs and has caught five or more passes in each of his last four games while scoring two touchdowns. He has a solid floor in PPR leagues and should be a fringe WR3/WR4 against the Bengals.
  • WAS Linebacker #4
Commanders LB Frankie Luvu (shin) did not practice Thursday.
Luvu is one of the Commanders’ best all-around defenders, so his absence would be felt if he is unable to play against the Giants. Speedy running back Tyrone Tracy is currently making his way through the NFL’s concussion protocol and could be good to go, come Sunday. His day would be made far easier if Luvu is absent.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Tyler Boyd (shoulder) did not practice Thursday.
Boyd has caught 21 passes for 184 scoreless yards this season and hasn’t gone for more than 43 yards in a game. The veteran slot receiver has seen his YPR bottom out at a career-worst 8.8 and was outperformed by Nick Westbrook-Ikhine last week. Boyd is not a viable fantasy asset at this time.
  • TEN Quarterback #8
Will Levis (shoulder) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
Whether or not Levis starts in Week 9 is still to be determined. The Titans said earlier that they plan to run him through more tests to see if he could play, should they ultimately decide they want him as their starter against the Patriots. The Titans’ offense is in shambles either way. With their top two running backs at risk of missing the week and DeAndre Hopkins now in Kansas City, there are few offensive weapons for Levis/Mason Rudolph to work with, and they weren’t doing much with those weapons when they were available. This is a quarterback situation to avoid regardless of who is under center.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #0
Calvin Ridley (shoulder) was upgraded to a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Ridley getting upgraded to a full participant after Wednesday’s DNP suggests his shoulder injury is of little concern as of now. Ridley caught 10 passes for 143 yards in last week’s loss to the Lions and is surrounded by an underwhelming cast of characters in Tennessee’s wide receiver room. If he’s active, Ridley should see plenty of looks in Week 9 against the Patriots. That said, he’ll have his work cutout for him with Christian Gonzalez likely to be shadowing him for most of the afternoon.
  • TEN Running Back #2
Tyjae Spears (hamstring) did not practice Thursday.
There’s a chance Spears’ DNP on Thursday is due partly to load management rather than him aggravating the hamstring injury that has sidelined him since Week 7. We’ll see what happens with Spears come Friday, but if he’s healthy and able to play in Week 9, he could see a larger role than expected as Tony Pollard (foot) has yet to practice this week. Stay tuned for Friday’s final injury report.
  • TEN Running Back #20
Tony Pollard (foot) did not practice Thursday.
Pollard has yet to practice this week and is one of several key position players at risk of missing the Titans’ Week 9 game against the Patriots. The veteran running back has seen a heavy workload this season and ran 20 times for 94 scoreless yards in Week 8’s loss to the Lions. If he’s unable to play, the Titans could be looking at Julius Chestnut as their RB1 with Tyjae Spears still nursing a hamstring injury.
  • WAS Quarterback #5
Jayden Daniels (ribs) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
Unless Daniels’ practice status is downgraded, fantasy managers can expect their elite QB1 to suit up against the Giants this week. He faces a pushover defensive unit that just benched No. 1 perimeter cornerback Deonte Banks.
  • WAS Running Back #8
Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
Robinson appears to have picked up the injury either in Week 8 or in Wednesday’s practice but his continued limited participation on Thursday is great news. Robinson has been playing through lower-body injuries for some time now and fantasy managers can expect him to once again operate as a fantasy RB2/3 this week.
