Alvin Kamara had ten rushes for 67 yards in the Saints’ Week 8 loss against the Chargers, adding six catches for 55 yards.
Kamara broke a few nice runs as the centerpiece of the New Orleans offense but never threatened the end zone with Spencer Rattler struggling to move the offense until he was benched in the second half. Kamara’s 11 targets were second on the team behind Chris Olave, who had 14 looks against LA.

Juwan Johnson caught 3-of-4 targets for 48 yards in the Saints’ Week 8 loss against the Chargers.
Johnson had a couple big catches down the seam while running a pass route on 19 of the Saints’ 52 drop backs on the day. Taysom Hill’s return to the lineup hampered Johnson’s usage in the struggling New Orleans offense. He’s little more than a streaming option for now.
  • NO Wide Receiver #16
Bub Means caught his lone target for 36 yards in the Saints’ Week 8 loss against the Chargers.
Means, who had three grabs for 37 yards last week against the Broncos, took a backseat this week to Chris Olave, who returned to the lineup after suffering a brain injury two weeks ago. Means only ran a route on 10 of the Saints’ 52 drop backs. He is not fantasy viable with Olave in the lineup.
  • NO Tight End #7
Taysom Hill caught 2-of-4 targets for 21 yards in the Saints’ Week 8 loss against the Chargers, adding four rushes for 20 yards.
Returning from injury, Hill also completed a pass for three yards. The do-it-all tight end saw early involvement but faded in the second half as the Saints shifted into chase mode, down multiple scores. Hill’s involvement in various aspects of the New Orleans offense makes him fantasy viable in most formats. He had 14 rushing attempts over three games coming into Week 8.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #16
Tyler Lockett caught 1-of-3 targets for nine yards in the Seahawks’ Week 8 loss to the Bills.
Lockett was nowhere to be found in this contest despite DK Metcalf sitting out with a knee injury. He logged season-lows in catches and yards as the Seattle passing attack struggled to get anything going. Lockett’s high-water mark in both stats came all the way back in Week 1 when he caught six passes for 77 yards. The 32-year-old wideout should be more involved in Week 9 versus the Rams whether or not Metcalf is able to suit up. He will fall into the WR4 ranks off the back of this quiet performance.
  • LAC Running Back #27
J.K. Dobbins had 17 rushes for 57 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers’ Week 8 win against the Saints, adding four catches for 11 yards.
While Dobbins ran well ahead of RB Kimani Vidal, he had another deeply inefficient game, averaging 3.3 yards per carry and doing precious little with his seven targets. Dobbins’ rushing success rate has plummeted over the past month, and the Chargers’ move toward a pass-first offense has somewhat limited Dobbins’ workload as the team’s lead back. Involvement in the pass game has been a boon for Dobbins though. He’ll be a top-20 fantasy play in Week 9 against the Browns.
  • SF Running Back #24
49ers RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) questionable to return in Week 8 against the Cowboys.
Mason briefly left the game early in the second quarter but returned on the following drive. He then walked with trainers to the locker room with just over two minutes remaining before the half. The team deemed him questionable to return with a shoulder injury. Mason managed just 18 yards on six carries and was not targeted prior to departing.
  • TB Wide Receiver #10
Trey Palmer caught both of his targets for 29 yards in the Bucs’ Week 8 loss against the Falcons.
Palmer ran a pass route on 41 of Baker Mayfield’s 53 drop backs but was a tertiary option in the passing game, even with Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle) sidelined. Palmer won’t have a strong role in the Tampa offense until Jalen McMillan or Sterling Shepard miss time.
  • LV Running Back #3
Zamir White rushed two times for minus-one yards in the Raiders’ Week 8 loss to the Chiefs.
White is being outplayed by Alexander Mattison, who finished with a 1.1 yards-per-carry average today. White can be safely dropped in re-draft leagues.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #13
Adam Schefter reports Christian Kirk is out for the year after suffering a broken collarbone in the Jaguars’ Week 8 loss to the Packers.
Schefter’s latest report reveals Kirk is now out for the season. It is a brutal end to a disappointing season. Kirk finishes with 27 receptions, 379 yards and one touchdown on 47 targets. His 1.72 yards per route run average ties for the fourth-lowest of his seven-year career.
  • SEA Tight End #87
Noah Fant caught 3-of-4 targets for 22 yards in the Seahawks’ Week 8 loss to the Bills.
Fant only saw one more target than backup tight end AJ Barner. The rookie caught two passes and bested Fant with 34 yards. He finished second on the Seahawks in yards while Fant landed at fourth. Fant has three 60-yard games this year but is typically behind three or more pass-catchers in the pecking order for targets. He is buried in the TE2 ranks for his upcoming game versus the Rams.
