Rotoworld

  • TB Wide Receiver #13

Bucs declared WR Mike Evans, DB Tykee Smith, DL Greg Gaines, OLB Jose Ramirez, G Royce Newman, and QB Michael Pratt inactive for Week 8 against the Falcons.
Evans, who sustained a serious hamstring injury in Week 7, will miss at least the next four games. Jalen McMillan and Sterling Shepard will operate as the Bucs’ top two wideouts with Evans and Chris Godwin (ankle) sidelined. Cade Otton should also see a bump in targets with Evan and Godwin out.
  • NE Quarterback #10

Drake Maye (concussion) will not return for the second half of the Patriots’ Week 8 game against the Jets.
Coach Jerod Mayo confirmed it to the sideline reporter at the end of the second quarter. Mayo was injured on the final play of the first quarter but briefly remained in the game. It was frankly a fairly obvious concussion in real time, and an unacceptable failure on the part of all involved that Maye remained in. The question now becomes if Maybe will be ready for next week’s road trip to Tennessee.
  • BAL Defensive Lineman #58
Ravens ruled out DT Michael Pierce (calf) for the remainder of Week 8’s game against the Browns.
Pierce limped off the field in the second quarter and was later ruled out with a calf injury. The veteran lineman has totaled 15 tackles and one sack for the Ravens this season and has been a key part of the team’s No. 1 ranked run defense.
  • NE Quarterback #10
Drake Maye was forced from New England’s Week 8 game against the Jets with a potential concussion and is questionable to return.
Maye took a knee to the helmet on a late first quarter scramble and came up wobbly. It seemed like a perfect time for the independent spotter to weigh in, but Maye stayed in the game. It was only after the series that backup Jacoby Brissett apparently flagged the medical staff. Maye was having success as a runner before going down, scrambling for an 18-yard score. It was a different story through the air, though Maye was victimized by a pair of drops. For now, Brissett is in the game.
  • DET Linebacker #44
Lions LB Malcolm Rodriguez is questionable to return to Week 8 against the Titans with an ankle injury.
Rodriguez was hurt on a kickoff return in the first quarter and had to be carted off the field. The third-year pro is third on the team in sacks and sixth on the team in tackles, so his loss would be a meaningful one for a banged-up defense. It would also be good news for Tony Pollard the rest of the game.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #82
Eagles WR Ainias Smith (ankle) was activated off injured reserve.
Smith was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury in late August after the Eagles’ last preseason game. He was activated off injured reserve this week and will be active for the team’s Week 8 game against the Bengals. The 23-year-old rookie was selected in the fifth round and now gets a chance to make his career debut.
  • DET Tight End #43
Lions declared TE Parker Hesse, OT Giovanni Manu, DE Josh Paschal, OT Colby Sorsdal, and S Loren Strickland inactive for Week 8 against the Titans.
None of the players above are fantasy relevant so fire up your Lions as you normally would.
  • PHI Tight End #88
Eagles declared TE Dallas Goedert, OL Mekhi Becton, QB Tanner McKee, G Trevor Keegan, and CB Eli Ricks inactive for Week 8 against the Bengals.
Goedert was ruled out on Friday and is set to miss his second straight game due to a hamstring injury. Grant Calcaterra is next man up in the tight end room. Mekhi Becton (concussion) is also out due to injury while Eli Ricks recovered from a groin injury and is essentially a healthy scratch. Tanner McKee is the emergency third quarterback.
  • TEN Running Back #2
Titans declared RB Tyjae Spears, CB L’Jarius Sneed, T Nicholas Petit-Frere, LB Jerome Baker, TE David Martin-Robinson, and TE Thomas Odukoya inactive for Week 8 against the Lions.
Spears, who is battling a hamstring injury, had been declared out earlier in the week. His absence is a huge boost for Tony Pollard, who is on the RB1 radar in all fantasy formats this weekend. The absence of Sneed is a huge loss for a titans past defense that will have to contend with a red hot Jared Goff, and the Lions offense
  • NE Wide Receiver #1
Patriots declared WR Ja’Lynn Polk, QB Joe Milton, S Kyle Dugger, LB Joshua Uche, OL Layden Robinson, and DT Daniel Ekuale inactive for New England’s Week 8 game against the Jets.
Polk was ruled out on Friday with a concussion and this should give a bigger runway for Kendrick Bourne to be part of the offense against New York. Dugger was a game-time decision with an ankle injury but DNPs off a questionable status. Uche is a healthy scratch ahead of the NFL trade deadline, and Milton is the only other Patriot joining him on the shelf without an injury.
  • TEN Quarterback #8
Titans declared QB Will Levis inactive for Week 8 against the Lions.
Levis had been questionable all week with a shoulder injury, and the expectation was that he would miss this week’s game, but that is now confirmed. Mason Rudolph will start in his place in the first week for Tennessee without DeAndre Hopkins. Rudolph is not a recommended streamer and the change at quarterback doesn’t improve any Titans’ fantasy outlook.
