Aaron Jones (hamstring) is active for Week 7 against the Lions.
Jones returned to practice on Thursday. He was listed as questionable after another limited session on Friday and is good to go now. In a potential shootout with Detroit, he will rank as a high-risk RB2. Ty Chandler could still see some extra touches to help keep Jones fresh, making him a viable FLEX play for Week 7. Inactive for the Vikings are LB Blake Cashman, DL Levi Drake Rodriguez, RB Myles Gaskin, CB Dwight McGlothern, OT Walter Rouse, and QB Brett Rypien.

Cedric Tillman caught 8-of-12 targets for 81 yards and a two-point conversion in the Browns’ Week 7 loss to the Bengals.
With Amari Cooper gone, Tillman was the most-targeted wideout for the Browns, across all three quarterbacks that played. He had career-highs in receptions, targets, and yards in what seemed to be a takeover of Cooper’s role as the big perimeter receiver. Tillman also caught a two-point conversion from Jameis Winston late in the game. More games of similar usage will make fantasy managers more confident in using Tillman, but he will be an intriguing pick-up off waiver wires and is in the WR4 mix next week.
  • TEN Running Back #20
Tony Pollard rushed 16 times for 61 yards in the Titans’ Week 7 loss to the Bills, adding two receptions for four yards.
  • WAS Quarterback #5
Jayden Daniels (ribs) will not return in the Commanders’ Week 7 game against the Panthers.
This news comes from the CBS broadcast. With the Commanders carrying a 27-0 lead into the second half, the team opted to not put him back on the field for a game that appears well in hand. We don’t know the severity of Daniels’ injury, but he was smiling and saluting fans as he returned to the sidelines in street clothes, and his mother posted “He’s fine #httc” to her social media account soon after he went to the locker room. Daniels completed two passes for six yards and ran for another 50 yards on his lone drive of the game. All eyes are now on the rookie’s Week 8 availability, when the Commanders take on No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams and the Bears.
  • CLE Running Back #20
Pierre Strong rushed three times for six yards in the Browns’ Week 7 loss to the Bengals, adding one receptions for 9 yards.
Strong was the backup to the returning Nick Chubb, getting four touches in the Browns’ Week 7 loss. He saw much of the backfield looks in the second half, working ahead of D’Onta Foreman, who had two carries for five yards. With Jerome Ford (hamstring) out, the Browns’ backfield is going to run through Chubb with some of Strong and Foreman. Neither of the two are fantasy relevant unless both Ford and Chubb are out.
  • NYG Running Back #29
Tyrone Tracy ran six times for 23 yards in the Giants’ Week 7 loss to the Eagles, adding three receptions for nine additional yards.
Tracy saw nine opportunities to Devin Singletary’s six, but neither back was particularly impressive in this one. It doesn’t help that the Eagles completely neutralized the Giants’ passing attack downfield, forcing them into several second and third-and-long situations on the day. Tracy gets a tough Week 8 matchup against the Steelers, and shouldn’t be trusted as anything more than an RB3 in what will likely be a split backfield moving forward.
  • SEA Tight End #87
Noah Fant caught 4-of-4 targets for 65 yards in the Seahawks’ Week 7 win against the Falcons.
Fant ran a pass route on 19 of the Seahawks’ 36 drop backs and made the most of his four looks from Geno Smith, a couple of which went for first downs on critical third downs. Fant remains the team’s fourth or fifth option in the passing game; he’s only seen more than four targets twice in 2024. He profiles as a good-enough streaming option for Week 8 against the Bills.
  • MIN Wide Receiver #3
Jordan Addison caught 3-of-4 targets for 66 yards in the Vikings’ Week 7 loss to the Lions.
Addison was also targeted on a failed two-point conversion try which doesn’t show up in his box score. It was a quiet day for the speedy receiver until he came down with a 51-yard heave from Sam Darnold in the fourth quarter. Justin Jefferson predictably dominated the Vikings’ targets with eight and Jalen Nailor popped up with five looks. Nailor has mostly been an afterthought with Addison healthy, so that isn’t a trend we should expect to continue in Week 8. Addison will sit in the WR3 ranks as a high-ceiling, low-floor play versus the Rams on Thursday Night Football.
  • NYG Running Back #26
Devin Singletary ran five times for 18 yards in the Giants’ Week 7 loss to the Eagles, adding one catch for three additional yards.
He earned six total opportunities on the day, which was just three fewer than what Tyrone Tracy saw after Tracy led the backfield in Weeks 5 and 6. Neither back was particularly effective, but Singletary’s fantasy value will take a massive hit if this backfield split in a bottom-five offense continues into Week 8 against the Steelers.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #11
Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught 3-of-6 targets for nine yards in the Seahawks’ Week 7 win against the Falcons.
Smith-Njigba had a down day after recording 17 cathces over the past three games. Geno Smith nearly hit Smith-Njigba for a long gain in the first half — a rare deep look for slot guys JSN. Smith-Njigba should continue as a decent WR3 option in a pass-heavy Seattle offense against the Bills in Week 8. His 6.5 yards per target makes JSN something of a PPR scam.
  • MIN Wide Receiver #83
Jalen Nailor caught 4-of-5 targets for 76 yards in the Vikings’ Week 7 loss to the Lions.
Nailor entered this game with two receptions in three games with Jordan Addison healthy. He was an afterthought when Minnesota was at full strength. That wasn’t the case versus Detroit as he saw one more target than Addison, though the second-year wideout still managed three grabs for 66 yards. Nailor is a good option as an NFL team’s No. 3 receiver, but his splash plays are too infrequent for fantasy managers to count on going forward.
