  • NYG Wide Receiver #1

Malik Naber (concussion) is expected to be a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Nabers continues to advance through the league’s concussion protocol and looks on track to play in Week 7 against the Eagles. The star rookie has dominated in targets and currently leads all receivers in the league with a 38 percent target share. Assuming he’s active, Nabers will have high-end WR1 upside in his return.
  • BUF Running Back #22

Ray Davis (calf) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
  • BUF Tight End #86
Dalton Kincaid (collarbone) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
Kincaid has been limited in both practices to start the week. It’s safe to assume that another practice on Friday will be enough for him to suit up for Week 7 against the Titans. Kincaid caught six passes for 51 yards in last week’s win over the Jets, and will have plenty of TE1 upside this weekend if he suits up.
  • BUF Running Back #4
James Cook (toe) was listed as a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Cook has practiced on both days to open the week, but his upgrade to a full participant is a great sign for his Week 7 outlook. Cook missed Monday’s game against the Jets despite hinting at playing, but should be a near lock to return if he can log another full session on Friday. Rookie Ray Davis may have inserted himself in the conversation for more touches after totaling 152 yards against the Jets, but we’d still expect this to be Cook’s backfield by a fairly comfortable margin. Cook will be a high-end RB2 against the Titans.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Aaron Jones (hamstring) practiced on Thursday.
Jones stuck to his word after saying on Wednesday that he’d be on the field Thursday. The veteran running back is working through a hamstring injury in hopes of playing in Week 7’s game against the Lions and is giving himself a legit chance at playing after getting on the field Thursday. We’ll see what kind of injury designation he carries heading into the weekend, but Jones appears eager to play if the team clears him.
  • PIT Quarterback #3
Russell Wilson said Sunday’s game against the Jets will be his “first game of the year.”
The Steelers haven’t officially committed to naming a starter for Week 7’s contest, but Wilson’s comments suggest he’ll get the nod after being activated as Justin Fields’ backup in Week 6. His comments come shortly after Fields himself talked about not playing well enough to remain as the team’s starter during the first six weeks of the season. We’re still waiting on word from head coach Mike Tomlin on who will ultimately draw the start, but both Wilson and Fields seem to know what’s coming.
  • CAR Running Back #24
Jonathon Brooks (knee) did not practice Thursday.
Brooks was limited in Wednesday’s practice, and while this is technically a downgrade, it is likely part of his predetermined return-to-play protocol. Earlier this week, The Athletic’s Joe Person highlighted Week 9 as Brooks’ likely 2024 debut date. Today’s development does not necessarily jeopardize that outcome.
  • DEN Tackle #69
NFL Network’s Jane Slater reports Broncos RT Mike McGlinchey is expected to play on Thursday night against the Saints.
McGlinchey is returning from an MCL sprain he suffered in Week 2. The veteran lineman started two games this season, earning a PFF blocking grade of 64.3 while allowing one sack on five pressures. He’ll resume his role along the right side of the line against a Saints defense that allowed 51 points to the Buccaneers just four days ago.
  • ARI Tackle #73
Cardinals RT Jonah Williams (knee) was seen working on the side field with trainers on Thursday.
Williams was reportedly at risk of missing the 2024 season with a knee injury that has plagued him since Week 1. While he still feels a way off from returning, his working with trainers is a good sign that he’s working to get back. Head coach Jonathan Gannon also said on Thursday that he thinks we’ll see Williams play again this season. We’ll get a sense of when Williams could return when the Cardinals open his 21-day return window, which they have not done at this time.
  • IND Running Back #28
Jonathan Taylor (ankle) was not spotted at Thursday’s practice.
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Speaking with the media earlier in the day, Taylor seemed uncertain about whether or not he’d get on the practice field this week and hinted at his ankle still not moving in ways he’d expect it to before being able to play. Barring an unexpected turn, we can safely assume Taylor will miss Week 7 against the Dolphins, putting Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson in line for backfield duties.
  • IND Running Back #27
Trey Sermon (knee) was seen practicing on Thursday.
Sermon was a DNP on Wednesday but will likely get in a limited session on Thursday. With Jonathan Taylor (ankle) tracking to miss another week, Sermon’s availability will be one to monitor heading into Friday. If he’s unable to go, Tyler Goodson would be on track to see a significant workload in Week 7 against the Dolphins. We’ll see what Sermon’s status is when Friday’s injury report drops tomorrow.
