Bills signed K Lucas Havrisik, formerly of the Rams.
The signing of Havrisik creates some added competition for Tyler Bass, who has converted on just 9-of-12 field goals this season and had a bad miss on an extra-point attempt in Monday night’s win over the Jets — it was the second extra point Bass missed this season. Havrisik has converted on 15-of-20 field goal attempts in his career, with two of his field goals coming from distances of 50-plus yards. We’ll see if Bass is with the team when they take the field in Week 7 against the Titans.
  • IND Running Back #27

Trey Sermon (knee) was seen practicing on Thursday.
Sermon was a DNP on Wednesday but will likely get in a limited session on Thursday. With Jonathan Taylor (ankle) tracking to miss another week, Sermon’s availability will be one to monitor heading into Friday. If he’s unable to go, Tyler Goodson would be on track to see a significant workload in Week 7 against the Dolphins. We’ll see what Sermon’s status is when Friday’s injury report drops tomorrow.
  • IND Wide Receiver #11
Michael Pittman (back) was seen practicing on Thursday.
Pittman continues to battle through a back injury that was once thought to land him on injured reserve. He surprised fantasy managers last week when he made the start against the Titans and ended up catching three passes for 35 yards and a touchdown. It’s hard to know how much Pittman’s back injury is limiting him, but if he’s active, he shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a WR4 with Anthony Richardson (oblique) expected to start.
  • IND Wide Receiver #1
Josh Downs (toe) was seen practicing on Thursday.
After logging a DNP on Wednesday, Downs was spotted on the field during Thursday’s practice, which is a good sign for his Week 7 availability against the Dolphins. Downs played through his toe injury in last week’s win over the Titans and wound up catching seven passes for 66 yards and a score. His fantasy value could take a hit with Anthony Richardson (oblique) expected to return, but Downs should still have high-end WR3 upside given his recent string of success.
  • CAR Wide Receiver #5
Diontae Johnson (ankle) was not seen at Thursday’s practice.
Two straight DNPs for Johnson to open the week doesn’t bode well for his Week 7 availability against the Commanders. The Panthers’ WR1 has seen 43 targets over four Andy Dalton starts and caught six passes for 78 yards and a touchdown in his last game. Johnson has played through this ankle for the last two weeks, so we won’t assume he’s out until the team gives official word. With that said, this is also the first time he’s missed back-to-back practices to open the week. His name will be one to monitor on Friday’s injury report.
  • NE Quarterback #10
Drake Maye (knee) was seen practicing Thursday.
According to those at practice, Maye was not sporting a brace on his knee and didn’t appear to be limping in any capacity. He was also seen throwing on the run in a video posted by ESPN’s Mike Reiss. Whatever Maye is dealing with seems minor at worst. Offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said earlier that he’s “not concerned” about Maye’s injury. It sounds like he’ll be good to go for Week 7 when the Patriots take on the Jaguars in London.
  • NE Running Back #38
Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) was not seen practicing on Thursday.
As ESPN’s Field Yates points out, the Patriots travel to London on Thursday. If Stevenson can’t get on the field before they leave, there’s a chance the team won’t have him in their game plan for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars. We didn’t get a definite timeline on Stevenson’s absence, but there was some sense he could be held out multiple weeks. If he doesn’t join the team in London, things will be shaping up for Antonio Gibson to once again lead the backfield. Gibson struggled in the RB1 role last week, totaling 43 yards on 16 touches.
  • WAS Running Back #8
Brian Robinson (knee) practiced on Thursday.
This marks two straight days of practice for Robinson, who missed last week’s loss to the Ravens due to a knee injury that has plagued him the last two weeks. Robinson appears on track to play in Week 7 against the Commanders and should profile as a high-volume RB2 if active. Robinson has finished as a top-24 PPR back in every game he’s appeared in this season, and was the RB11 in Week 4 when he faced the Cardinals. His return would relegate Austin Ekeler to a boom-or-bust RB3 role.
  • DEN Linebacker #5
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Broncos plan to activate and play Baron Browning on Thursday night against the Saints.
Browning played in the Broncos’ first two games of the season before being placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. His return will give the Broncos an added pass-rusher, as Browning has totaled 9.5 sacks and 12 TFLs over the last two seasons.
  • TB Running Back #1
Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles said the team will ride the “hot hand” at running back.
It’s arguably the worst thing fantasy managers could hear a head coach say when discussing three running backs on a roster. Sean Tucker forced his way into the conversation for more touches following his Week 6 breakout, which could leave Rachaad White and Bucky Irving with more uncertain roles moving forward. Fox Sports’ Greg Auman said earlier in the week that he believes White will remain the team’s RB1, but he seems unlikely to win the “hot hand” approach given his struggles on the ground this season. This could be a frustrating backfield to figure out for a few weeks. White, Irving, and Tucker are all worth holding until we get more clarity on the situation.
  • TB Wide Receiver #13
Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles said Mike Evans “tweaked” something in his leg that has been “nagging” him, but he still expects him to practice this week.
Evans was seen limping in the Buccaneers’ Week 6 win over the Saints and even went to the locker room at one point during the game. Assuming he practices this week, we’d expect Evans to be good to go for Monday night’s matchup against the Ravens, but we’ll see what the injury reports show in the days leading up to the game.
