Trevor Lawrence completed 23-of-35 passes for 242 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the Jaguars’ 35-16, Week 6 loss to the Bears.
Lawrence appeared to turn things around last week with 371 yards and two scores in a shootout win over the Colts. That performance proved to be a mirage for both Lawrence and the entire Jaguars roster this week. Lawrence hit his layups versus the Bears but couldn’t connect on almost any of his deep shots. He missed his big-play attempts with overthrows, underthrows, and everything in between except for accurate throws. When he was on target, Lawrence’s receiver routinely failed him. Gabe Davis caught two touchdowns but left two more on the field with egregious drops. Evan Engram had a fumble and Travis Etienne coughed one up as well, though it was ruled an incomplete pass upon review. The Jags will stay in London to face the Patriots next week in a game that could seal Doug Pederson’s fate as the head coach of this team.
