  • NYG Linebacker #5
Giants HC Brian Daboll said Kayvon Thibodeaux is “week-to-week” after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured bone in his wrist.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Thibodeaux “suffered a fractured scaphoid bone” that required surgery to repair. The former No. 5 overall pick has totaled 12 tackles and two sacks this season and will seemingly miss Week 6’s contest against the Bengals. It will be interesting to see if Thibodeaux lands on injured reserve, or if the Giants believe they can have him back in less than four weeks.
  • CAR Tight End #80
Panthers activated TE Ian Thomas (hamstring) from injured reserve.
Thomas will join rookie Ja’Tavion Sanders as the primary tight ends for the Panthers in Week 6 after Tommy Tremble was ruled out with a concussion. Neither are overly exciting for fantasy purposes outside of the deepest leagues.
  • DEN Wide Receiver #11
Broncos placed WR Josh Reynolds (finger) on injured reserve.
Reynolds underwent “minor surgery” on his finger on Friday and was previously reported to only be looking at a minor absence. He will now miss at least four games while on injured reserve. This cements Lil’Jordan Humphrey as the team’s WR2 moving forward.
  • DEN Running Back #23
Broncos activated RB Audric Estime (ankle) from injured reserve.
Estime rejoins a crowded backfield spearheaded by Javonte Williams, with Jaleel McLaughlin and undrafted free agent Blake Watson. Although Williams is the top option on paper, he has averaged just 10.6 carries to go with 4.0 targets per game.
  • NYJ Linebacker #57
Jets LB C.J. Mosley (toe) is questionable for Week 6 against the Bills.
Mosley managed a week of limited practices after missing the previous three weeks with a toe injury. He’ll look to return to action after a week of coaching changes in New York after head coach Robert Saleh was fired.
  • NYJ Tight End #83
Jets TE Tyler Conklin (hip) is questionable for Week 6 against the Bills.
Conklin managed a full week of limited sessions and ultimately drew the questionable tag for Monday Night Football against the Bills in Week 6. Considering the timing of the game, fantasy managers could consider making backup plans at tight end this week.
  • WAS Running Back #8
Commanders downgraded RB Brian Robinson (knee) to out for Week 6 against the Ravens.
Robinson faced an uphill battle after injuring his knee just before halftime in Week 5 and will now miss the team’s Week 6 showdown with the high-flying Ravens. It remains to be seen if Austin Ekeler will see a significant uptick in snaps and opportunities in his absence, but the team has shown a propensity to trust Jeremy McNichols with early-down work.
  • LAC Cornerback #26
Chargers placed CB Asante Samuel (shoulder) on injured reserve.
Samuel has played all but four defensive snaps for the Chargers this season, making his absence for the next four games notable. Expect 2024 fifth-round rookie Cam Hart to fill in for Samuel while he’s out.
  • LAC Running Back #4
Chargers placed RB Gus Edwards (ankle) on injured reserve.
Edwards had taken a back seat to J.K. Dobbins through four weeks, seeing 38 carries and one target to the 56 carries and 11 targets of Dobbins. Sixth-round rookie running back Kimani Vidal should step into the vacated snaps and opportunities left behind by Edwards for at least the next four weeks. The Chargers currently average 28.8 rush attempts per game, 11th in the league.
  • NO Running Back #25
Saints activated RB Kendre Miller (hamstring) from injured reserve.
Miller will make his season debut in Week 6 against the Buccaneers. While Miller likely doesn’t carry standalone fantasy value in the immediate future, it will be interesting to see how his presence influences the workhorse usage from lead back Alvin Kamara. Kamara currently averages 18.2 carries and 5.6 targets per game, making him one of only a handful of true workhorse backs in the league in 2024.
  • JAX Tight End #17
Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) “plans to play” in Week 6 against the Bears.
Fantasy managers on the west coast will want to double check the veteran tight end’s status prior to the 9:30 ET kickoff with the Jaguars playing in London, but it appears Engram will make his long-awaited return to the lineup after suffering a hamstring injury in pre-game warmups ahead of the team’s Week 2 game against the Browns. Barring a setback prior to Sunday, Engram should return to a short-area role for a Jaguars team that finally got its first win of the season in Week 5 over the Colts.
