Jackson was set to be a free agent in a few weeks, but the Rams weren’t going to let a young left tackle hit the open market. Per FOX NFL’s Jordan Schultz, the extension includes $35 million guaranteed. Jackson took over as LA’s starting left tackle two years ago and took another step forward last year, cracking Pro Football Focus’s top 20 graded tackles. He is now under contract through 2027.

Jackson entered the league as a UDFA for the Rams four years ago. He took over the starting left tackle job two years ago and was tendered as a restricted free agent last offseason. Jackson earned a top-20 grade at his position from Pro Football Focus in 2024 and has gotten better in every year of his career. As expected, the Rams don’t have any intentions of letting him see the open market. Expect a deal to be announced sooner rather than later.

With Matthew Stafford no longer an option for the Giants, Hughes reports that the Giants would like to pair either Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders with a veteran QB, listing Aaron Rodgers, Sam Darnold and Russell Wilson as the Giants’ preferred options. Former Jets coaches have reportedly given Rodgers “rave reviews” when discussing the veteran QB with Giants coaches at the NFL Scouting Combine this week.
