  • IND Quarterback #5
Anthony Richardson (oblique) was seen practicing Friday.
Richardson has gotten in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday and will presumably log another limited practice on Friday. It’s a good sign he’s on the field, but Richardson’s mobility appeared to be drastically affected by last week’s injury. He’s had nearly a week to heal, but the team has been non-committal about his availability to this point. We’ll see what kind of game status he carries heading into the weekend and advise accordingly.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #3
Tank Dell (chest) was removed from the Week 5 injury report and will play against the Bills.
Dell missed Week 4 with the chest injury but was upgraded to a full practice today before being removed from the injury report entirely. He should play without any limitations in a potential shootout with the Bills. Dell was running plenty of routes in the first three weeks but was unable to hit the home run play before going down with the chest issue. He was already a high-risk WR3 before injury and will not fall into the WR4 ranks for his first game back in action.
  • NO Center #60
Saints signed C Connor McGovern off the Jets’ practice squad.
The Saints are drastically understaffed at center because of a wave of injuries to their offensive line. McGovern made eight starts for the Jets last year before suffering a season-ending knee injury. He didn’t make their final roster this year and signed with the team’s practice squad after being cut. Though McGovern struggled before the injury in 2023, he is still one of the best options a team can find off the street this late into the season. McGovern could also take some reps at guard if needed, though he hasn’t done so in more than a few years.
  • LV Running Back #3
Raiders coach Antonio Pierce said Zamir White is “more than likely” to be doubtful for Week 5 against the Broncos.
White suffered a groin injury during Wednesday’s practice. He was downgraded to a DNP on Thursday and is now unlikely to suit up this week. That leaves Alexander Mattison in the starting role for Las Vegas this week. Mattison had already been serving as the top back on passing downs and will now see the bulk of the rush attempts for the Raiders. He will rank as an RB3 for Week 5 versus the Broncos.
  • NYG Running Back #26
Giants RB Devin Singletary (groin) is doubtful for Week 5 against the Seahawks.
Fantasy managers should expect to be without Singletary for Week 5. Eric Gray is listed ahead of speedy rookie Tyrone Tracy on the Giants RB depth chart but Tracy has been far more involved this season with 63 offensive snaps to Gray’s 15. Gray will undoubtedly mix in but offers little more than RB5-viability. Tracy is a borderline RB3/4 for the occasion.
  • CHI Tight End #85
Cole Kmet (knee) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 5 against the Panthers.
Kmet was added to the injury report as a limited participant on Wednesday but got in two full practices before being removed from the report. Kmet spiked for 10 receptions and 97 yards but came back to Earth last week with three grabs for 34 yards. With the Bears’ offense struggling and Keenan Allen back in the fold, Kmet is stuck in TE2 purgatory for the foreseeable future. Offensive lineman Teven Jenkins (ribs) is questionable.
  • CHI Defensive End #98
Bears EDGE Montez Sweat (ankle) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 5 against the Panthers.
Sweat popped up on the injury report with the ankle issue on Wednesday but was a full participant in practice by Friday. Fellow defensive lineman Zacch Pickens and defensive back Terell Smith are out this week.
  • CLE Tackle #66
Browns placed James Hudson III on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
The Browns’ banged-up offensive line loses its oft-used, backup swing tackle. The 25-year-old blocker has yet to prove himself as a starting caliber player but his loss is still an issue for a unit that struggles to keep Deshaun Watson pressure-free.
  • NYJ Linebacker #57
Jets LB C.J. Mosley (toe) is doubtful for Week 5 against the Vikings.
Mosley was limited in practice throughout the week but likely needs another seven days to fully recover. Defensive lineman Leki Fotu remains out as well.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
    Saints waived WR A.T. Perry.
Perry turned some heads as a rookie with a few big plays late in the season. He finished the year with 12 receptions for 246 yards and four scores. Perry missed the start of his second season with a hand injury and never managed to find a role after recovering. He has been a healthy scratch in recent weeks. Perry could get claimed by a team looking for a dart throw at wide receiver.
  • NYJ Quarterback #8
Aaron Rodgers (knee) was removed from the Jets’ injury report and will play in Week 5 against the Vikings.
Rodgers was a DNP on Wednesday but practiced on Thursday and Friday to close out the week. He and the Jets, who are coming off a brutal 10-9 loss to the Broncos, now have a tilt with the Vikings in London. These games have proven difficult for offenses over the years, which could only add to the challenge of facing the Vikings’ fourth-ranked defense (14.8 PPG allowed). Rodgers shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a mid-QB2 in Week 5.
