  • CIN Tackle #77

Bengals OT Trent Brown (knee) was carted off in the second quarter in Week 3 against the Commanders.
Brown’s knee appeared to give out while in pass protection and the cart was brought out to escort the veteran tackle to the locker room. Based on video and the fact he had to be carted off, it appears likely the Bengals will be without the 10-year veteran right tackle for some time.
  • JAX Quarterback #16

Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Lawrence banged up his shoulder in last week’s loss to the Eagles and could be limited in practice throughout the week ahead of Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Mac Jones would get the start if Lawrence is unable to play through the injury.
  • CLE Quarterback #4
Browns general manager Andrew Berry said it’s “a possibility” Deshaun Watson (Achilles) will play again for the Browns.
Watson is out for the season with a torn Achilles and is due $46 million in each of the next two years. The Browns might figure a way to move on from Watson, 29, this offseason, and if he stays put, he likely won’t be ready for game action until the middle of the 2025 season. Watson’s return to Cleveland remains a long shot.
  • JAX Quarterback #14
Jaguars signed QB C.J. Beathard from the Dolphins practice squad.
Beathard will rejoin the Jaguars after spending the past two seasons in Jacksonville as Trevor Lawrence’s backup. Last year, Beathard threw for 349 yards and a touchdown in seven appearances for the Jaguars.
  • CIN Tackle #75
Bengals LT Orlando Brown Jr. (knee/fibula) was limited in Tuesday’s practice.
Brown started listed DNP on Monday, but returned to practice in a limited capacity Tuesday. He missed Week 9 against the Raiders after exiting Week 8 due to a knee injury. Cody Ford started for him in his absence, but Brown’s limited practice indicates he is trending to play Thursday against the Ravens. Wednesday’s status update will provide further clarity on Brown’s chances of playing.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #15
Bengals WR Charlie Jones (groin) did not participate in Tuesday’s practice.
Jones suffered a groin injury in practice last week and missed Week 9 against the Raiders. He has primarily been a reserve and kick return specialist this season, catching one pass for five yards and returning 14 punts and five kicks this season, including a 100-yard kick return touchdown in Week 8. Trenton Irwin will fill in Jones’ role if he misses Thursday against the Ravens.
  • CIN Running Back #24
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said newly acquired RB Khalil Herbert could play Thursday’s Week 10 matchup against the Ravens.
The Enquirer’s Charlie Goldsmith reported that Taylor would not take off the table the notion of Herbert playing Thursday against the Ravens. With Zack Moss (neck) likely out for the season, the Bengals need further depth behind Chase Brown, who saw a workhorse load in Week 9. It seems the Bengals like Herbert’s abilities as a runner and “willing protector” and did a lot of scouting on him leading up to the trade deadline. If Herbert is indeed active, fantasy managers should expect him to rotate in just to spell Brown on occasion. Herbert should be left on benches for Week 10 but has intriguing FLEX value the rest of the season.

  • 49ers signed S Tashaun Gipson Sr. to their practice squad.
Gipson returns to the 49ers after spending the 2022-23 seasons with the team. He signed with the Jaguars for 2024, but served a suspension for violating the league’s performance enhancing substances policy. It was initially a six-game suspension, but Gipson was not reinstated after the six games. The Jaguars released him earlier in the week without Gipson having played a game for them and now he’s back with the 49ers. K Anders Carlson was released from the practice squad in a corresponding move.
  • BAL Tight End #80
Isaiah Likely (hamstring) did not practice on Tuesday.
He likely won’t play on Thursday after missing back-to-back practices. Mark Andrews and Charlie Kolar will pick up the slack for the Baltimore TE corps against the Bengals. Likely is droppable in standard leagues.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
Lamar Jackson (knee) did not practice on Tuesday.
John Harbaugh told reporters last week that Jackson would likely be taking rest days over the rest of the season, so this isn’t exactly surprising. He also refused to answer reporters who asked why Jackson did not practice today while saying that Jackson would play on Thursday. All-in-all, a four-star “get off my lawn” performance from Harbaugh. Jackson will be out there as the week’s overall QB1 against the Bengals.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
Tee Higgins (quad) did not practice on Tuesday.
It was another estimated practice day. At this point, it would be genuinely surprising if Higgins practiced on Wednesday. He has not practiced since suffering the quad injury in practice two Fridays ago. It looks like the Bengals will be without their No. 2 wideout for a must-win game against the Ravens on Thursday.
