Davante Adams caught 4-of-9 targets for 40 yards in the Raiders’ Week 3 loss to the Panthers.
Adams and quarterback Gardner Minshew weren’t on the same page throughout the game, highlighted by a fourth quarter interception when Minshew threw the ball to space when Adams broke off his route. Adams also had two drops in this one, both of which were jarred from his hands after he looked to come down with the catch. Minshew was benched in favor of Aidan O’Connell following the interception, something that could reignite the starting quarterback conversation in short order. Things won’t get any easier for the veteran alpha wide receiver when the Raiders host the Browns in Week 4.
  • DET Tight End #87

Lions coach Dan Campbell said he is “hopeful” that Sam LaPorta (shoulder) can play in Detroit’s Week 11 game against the Titans.
We’ll probably need to see some practice statuses before we have a good handle on his Week 11 status, but it is encouraging that Campbell has not seemed too concerned about LaPorta’s status going forward. Fantasy managers that haven’t already disgustedly tossed LaPorta off their rosters may need to consider backup plans for Week 11, but LaPorta’s shoulder injury doesn’t look likely to be a long term issue. It may not even be a short-term one.
  • BUF Linebacker #58
Bills HC Sean McDermott said the team will open Matt Milano’s (biceps) 21-day return window this week.
Milano will not play in Week 12’s game against the Chiefs, but his return will be a welcomed one for the Bills’ defense. Milano suffered a torn biceps in training camp and has been sidelined ever since. Assuming all goes well, he’ll have a good chance to return in December to help with the Bills’ playoff push.
  • MIA Tackle #73
Dolphins placed OL Austin Jackson (knee) on injured reserve.
Jackson was ruled out yesterday with a knee injury that has kept him from practicing this week. Mike McDaniel said it was possible that Jackson would need surgery. Kendall Lamm and Patrick Paul are two options that could play at right tackle in Jackson’s absence.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #0
Bills HC Sean McDermott said Keon Coleman (wrist) won’t play in Week 11 against the Chiefs.
The Bills aren’t wasting any time here, making the decision to rule out Coleman for the second straight week. It was reported last week that Coleman could miss multiple weeks, so this news shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Amari Cooper, who is also dealing with a wrist injury, is reportedly progressing through things, but there’s no word on whether or not he’ll play in Week 12. There’s a chance the team will see how he responds in practice this week before deciding on his availability.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #85
Dolphins activated WR River Cracraft (shoulder) from injured reserve.
Cracraft had a 9/121/1 line last year in 10 games as a reserve wideout. The 30-year-old has missed the entirety of the season to date with his shoulder injury. His move may be foreshadowing bigger Tyreek Hill news, but we’re not entirely sure on that yet.
  • FA Linebacker #0
    Seahawks released LB Tyrel Dodson.
Dodson was a full-time starter for Seattle’s first nine games this season. It uh, didn’t go well enough in the eyes of Mike Macdonald. Dodson had a 65.8 PFF defense grade that seemed to mostly mark him as above average outside of run defense. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Buffalo, Dodson’s former employer, scooped him up again as a free agent. Fourth-round pick Tyrice Knight and Drake Thomas are candidates to take over the role in Seattle. Rarely do you see a team give up on an offseason signing this quickly when the player is actually playing.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
Bengals HC Zac Taylor said Tee Higgins (quad) is day-to-day heading into the week.
Higgins and left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (knee/fibula), who Taylor also called day-to-day, both participated in walkthroughs on Monday, but Taylor said we shouldn’t read too much into that. If Higgins is truly day-to-day, then it sounds like he’ll have a chance to suit up in Week 11 against the Chargers. That said, we wouldn’t read too much into his availability until we get a look at Wednesday’s injury report. Higgins has missed the last two games due to his quad injury, which has resulted in an uptick in targets for Mike Gesicki.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said he “feels good about having” Aaron Jones (ribs) for Minnesota’s Week 11 game against the Titans.
He also said that Jones might be limited in practice earlier in the week, which, after seeing the shot that Jones took this weekend, we completely understand. Jones rushed 17 times for 88 yards on Sunday against the Jaguars and would roll in as a high-end RB2 despite a suddenly-struggling Vikings offense against Tennessee.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Saints interim coach Darren Rizzi said Chris Olave (concussion) is not ruled out for the rest of the year.
He’s visiting a specialist this week and the Saints are reportedly content to take the four week timeline for now, meaning Olave could return for Week 15 against the Commanders. That doesn’t make him a must-roster in fantasy for teams that are desperate for roster spots, and the fact that the question was asked in the first place is concerning in its own right after Olave suffered his second major concussion of the season in Week 9.
  • NYG Quarterback #8
Giants coach Brian Daboll said the team was “evaluating things” when asked if Daniel Jones would remain the starter after their Week 11 bye.
Aren’t we all evaluating some things? That doesn’t necessarily mean that Jones will lose his job, but it’s a marked contrast from the last month or so of dutifully telling everyone that Jones was his starting quarterback. Drew Lock is the Giants backup quarterback, so that plays into the evaluation. (Because nobody really needs to see another shot for Drew Lock to start.) Jones would be a low-end superflex play if he makes it to Week 12 as the starter.
