  • CLE Quarterback #4
Deshaun Watson completed 21-of-37 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns and rushed four times for 26 yards in the Browns’ 21-15, Week 3 loss to the Giants.
Watson was sacked eight times in this one. He failed to eclipse 200 passing yards for the third straight week. The two touchdowns to Amari Cooper saved his fantasy performance and passer rating, but this was another subpar performance for Watson. The numbers are mostly bad and he’s failing the eye test too. Watson’s performances leave us wondering if he’s the worst starting quarterback in the NFL this side of Will Levis. He’s nothing more than a low-end QB2 at Las Vegas in Week 4.
  • SEA Running Back #26
Zach Charbonnet had 18 rushes for 91 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks’ Week 3 win against the Dolphins, adding three catches for 16 yards.
  • TB Running Back #7
Bucky Irving rushed nine times for 70 yards in the Bucs’ Week 3 loss to the Broncos, adding three receptions for 14 yards.
  • TB Running Back #1
Rachaad White rushed six times for 17 yards in the Bucs’ Week 3 loss to the Broncos, adding five receptions for 18 additional yards.
With the Bucs playing from behind all afternoon, White was out-rushed by rookie Bucky Irving for the third time in as many contests. Although Irving isn’t exactly seizing the day as the clear early-down back, it’s clear White has lost his every-down monopoly in this backfield. He is catching enough passes to remain in the low-end RB2 mix for the time being, including for Week 4 against the Eagles.
  • DEN Running Back #38
Jaleel McLaughlin rushed five times for seven yards and a touchdown in the Broncos’ Week 3 win over the Bucs, adding a seven-yard reception.
McLaughlin’s touchdown was a one-yarder where he bounced to the edge but then had to use his power to get into the end zone. It was the only positive on an afternoon where coach Sean Payton introduced third-year pro Tyler Badie to his running back rotation. Sitting on 52 yards from scrimmage through three contests, McLaughlin has removed himself from the FLEX mix ahead of Week 4 against the Jets.
  • DEN Running Back #28
Tyler Badie rushed nine times for 70 yards in the Broncos’ Week 3 win over the Bucs.
Unused by the Ravens last season, Badie received two touches in Week 2 before operating as the Broncos’ feature back in fourth quarter closeout mode of a 23-7 (at the time) game. Badie didn’t do much in the first three frames, but his final period performance was more than Javonte Williams has shown in any quarter this season. We wouldn’t be shocked if Badie gets some earlier work in Week 4 against the Jets, but he’s probably still best left on waiver wires for the time being.
  • KC Defensive End #99
Chiefs declared DE Cameron Thomas, OL C.J. Hanson, OT Ethan Driskell, and DT Marlon Tuipulotu inactive for Week 3 against the Falcons.
The biggest news out of Kansas City heading into Week 3 is the absence of running back Isiah Pacheco. Also, running back Kareem Hunt was signed to the practice squad and not elevated prior to the team’s Sunday Night Football game.
  • ATL Running Back #30
Falcons declared RB Jase McCellan, DT Brandon Dorlus, OG Jovaughn Gywn, OT Brandon Parker, and DT Ruke Orhorhoro inactive for Week 3 against the Chiefs.
For the third consecutive week, the Falcons enter their game with a relatively clean bill of health. That’s good news considering a matchup with the stalwart Chiefs on deck.
  • DEN Wide Receiver #14
Courtland Sutton caught 7-of-11 targets for 68 yards in the Broncos’ Week 3 win over the Bucs.
Both the catches and yards were easily new season highs for a veteran wideout off to a slow start. One of Sutton’s missed connections was an end zone grab where he couldn’t quite get both feet down. Although Bo Nix’s box score wasn’t terribly different from Weeks 1-2, the rookie certainly looked more confident and poised this afternoon. That will be an absolute must going forward if Sutton is going to fight his way back into the WR3 mix. Don’t count on it for Week 4 against Sauce Gardner’s Jets.
  • HOU Tight End #86
Dalton Schultz caught 2-of-5 targets for 11 yards in the Texans’ Week 3 loss against the Vikings.
Schultz is the distant fourth option in the Houston passing offense. He had three targets in each of the Texans’ first two regular season games before Week 3’s quiet outing against the Vikings. Schultz is not fantasy relevant in any format.
  • MIN Tight End #86
Johnny Mundt caught 1-of-3 targets for two yards and a touchdown in the Vikings’ Week 3 loss against the Texans.
Mundt caught a short touchdown from Sam Darnold between two defenders in the fourth quarter to put the game away for Minnesota. Mundt now has three targets in each of the Vikings’ three regular season games. He’s still splitting tight end snaps with Josh Oliver.
