  • MIN Wide Receiver #3
Vikings declared WR Jordan Addison, CB Dwight McGlothern, ILB Ivan Pace, DE Levi Drake Rodriguez, T Walter Rouse, QB Brett Rypien, and OLB Dallas Turner inactive for Week 3 against the Texans.
Addison will miss a second straight game after suffering a serious ankle injury on an illegal hip drop tackle in Week 1. That should position Jalen Nailor as the Vikings’ No. 2 wideout behind Justin Jefferson. Nailor in Week 2 against the Niners caught three of four targets for 54 yards and a touchdown.
  • MIA Quarterback #19
Skylar Thompson (chest) was ruled out in Week 3 against the Seahawks.
  • CAR Wide Receiver #19
Panthers WR Adam Thielen (hamstring) will not return to Week 3 against the Raiders.
Updating a previous report, Adam Thielen has been ruled out for the remainder of the Panthers’ Week 3 game against the Raiders. He caught 3-of-5 targets for 40 yards and a touchdown prior to leaving the game just before the half.
  • IND Wide Receiver #1
Josh Downs caught 3-of-5 targets for 22 yards in the Colts’ Week 3 win over the Bears.
Making his 2024 debut, Downs also had a drop and was the recipient of a bad Anthony Richardson miss. With Richardson yet to complete more than 17 passes in a game this season, Downs is going to have trouble compiling behind Michael Pittman, especially with Alec Pierce dominating down-field targets. None of that is to mention Richardson’s short-to-intermediate inaccuracy. The Steelers are a rough Week 4 matchup.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #2
Amari Cooper caught 7-of-12 targets for 86 yards and two touchdowns against the Giants in Week 3.
Cooper scored on the Browns first offensive play of the game. He hauled in a 24-yard touchdown following the Giants’ fumble on the opening kickoff. Cooper added another touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. Deshaun Watson had another bad game, though. It’s difficult to shake the feeling that selling high on Cooper after this game makes sense unless the Browns make a change at quarterback. He’s a WR3 heading into the Week 4 matchup against the Raiders.
  • SF Tackle #71
49ers LT Trent Williams (calf cramp) returned for Week 3 against the Rams.
Williams was back on the field after halftime, playing through the 49ers’ third-quarter touchdown-scoring drive. The calf cramp appears to be behind him.
  • MIA Quarterback #19
Skylar Thompson exited the Dolphins’ Week 3 game against the Seahawks with an apparent upper body injury.
Thompson, with almost no pocket awareness, took a handful of mammoth shots from Seattle defenders before being unable to get off the turf after a hard push to the ground in the third quarter. Thompson is reportedly getting X-rays in the locker room. He had 107 scoreless yards before the injury. Tim Boyle, who was recently activated off the practice squad, will take over at QB for Thompson.
  • NYG Tight End #84
Theo Johnson caught 1-of-3 targets for 13 yards against the Browns in Week 3.
Johnson had three targets to Daniel Bellinger’s one against the Browns. One of Johnson’s targets bounced off his hands in the end zone. The fourth-round rookie could see his role grow as the season goes on, but for now Daniel Jones’ rookie tight end isn’t a great streaming option even for desperate fantasy managers.
  • CHI Running Back #24
Khalil Herbert rushed four times for nine yards in the Bears’ Week 3 loss to the Colts.
With Travis Homer (finger) inactive, Herbert somehow immediately got leapt by Roschon Johnson for No. 2 duties. With 10 touches through three games, Herbert has zero standalone value and wouldn’t even necessarily become an immediate FLEX option in a potential D’Andre Swift absence.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #17
Wan’Dale Robinson caught 7-of-8 targets for 61 yards against the Browns in Week 3.
Robinson had a long reception of 20 yards, but the rest was short stuff. After Robinson led the Giants with 12 targets in Week 1, Malik Nabers has emerged as the clear focal point of the offense over the last two games. Robinson still has some value in PPR leagues, but with more targets going to Nabers and without a downfield role he’s going to need to score touchdowns to remain viable. Robinson is no better than a WR4 heading into Week 4 against the Cowboys.
  • CHI Running Back #23
Roschon Johnson rushed eight times for 30 yards in the Bears’ Week 3 loss to the Colts, adding four receptions for 32 yards.
With Travis Homer (finger) inactive, Johnson went from being unable to get on the field to ... playing seemingly every third down and rotating carries with an ineffective D’Andre Swift? It’s unclear why one lightly-used third-down back injury changed everything in the Bears’ backfield, but we digress. Johnson out-rushed Swift 30-20 despite being out-carried 13-8. He frankly looked better than Swift, who is looking like a free agent mega bust as he averages 1.83 yards per carry. Johnson is worth speculative end-of-bench adds, but he won’t be a viable Week 4 FLEX vs. the Rams.
