ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports “several teams have expressed an interest in trading for” Bryce Young.
“The Panthers have been contacted by certain teams, according to league sources, while other teams have mulled a Young trade within their own organizations” Schefter reports. Publicly, coach Dave Canales has said a trade is not on the table. Privately, they’re undoubtedly listening. Per Schefter, “sources around the league believe it is only a matter of time” before Young is dealt. It’s unlikely the Panthers get any fair-market value offers ahead of the trade deadline — no one is acquiring Young to replace an injured or struggling starter mid-season — but perhaps with the benefit of time to plan and study film, someone will convince themselves in January or February they can turn Young’s career around.
