  • LAC Quarterback #10
Justin Herbert (ankle) is questionable for Week 3 against the Steelers.
Herbert told reporters he suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Chargers’ Week 2 win over the Panthers. Few players play through that injury without missing any time, so it looks like Herbert is going to be a true game-time call for Week 3. Per The Athletic’s Daniel Popper, Herbert did not practice on Friday before being listed as questionable. He was a limited participant in Thursday’s session. Jim Harbaugh wouldn’t say who will draw the start if Herbert can’t play. The Chargers have Taylor Heinicke and Easton Stick on the active roster. Either way, LA projects to lead the league in rush attempts versus a Steelers team that wants to play the same game.
  • SEA Linebacker #58
Seahawks LB Derick Hall (hip) was ruled out for Week 3 against the Dolphins.
Hall practiced in a limited capacity all week so the Seahawks are likely just playing things safely and hoping Hall can return in Week 4. Hall’s five quarterback pressures generated via the blitz lead all Seahawks defenders.
  • SEA Tackle #74
Seahawks T George Fant (knee) is out for Week 3 against the Dolphins.
The Seahawks initially listed Fant as doubtful for Week 3 but quickly updated the injury report, ruling him out despite practicing in a limited capacity on Friday. Fant was starting in place of Abraham Lucas (injured reserve). Seahawks coaches will now have to game plan around QB Geno Smith’s weakened right-side pass protection.
  • LV Defensive Lineman
Raiders EDGE Tyree Wilson (knee) is questionable for Week 3 against the Panthers.
Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins is also questionable. Wilson injured his knee after 11 snaps in Week 1. He was upgraded to a full participant on Friday, giving him a good shot of suiting up. Regardless of his status, the Raiders are expected to have Maxx Crosby, a one-man wrecking crew on the defensive line, available for this game. He should have no issues causing trouble for Andy Dalton in his first start of the year.
  • CAR Defensive End #94
Panthers DT A’Shawn Robinson (knee) is questionable for Week 3 against the Raiders.
Fellow defensive lineman Shy Tuttle is listed as doubtful because of a foot injury. Robinson was added to the injury report as a limited participant on Thursday and remained limited on Friday, giving him a shot at suiting up on Sunday. Having already lost Derrick Brown for the year, the Panthers do not need any more injuries in their front seven.
  • SF Defensive Back #7
49ers CB Charvarius Ward (knee/hamstring) is questionable to play in Week 3 vs. the Rams.
Ward appeared on the Thursday injury report with knee and hamstring injuries, unable to practice. Mid-week additions are never a good sign. He appears to be truly questionable for the occasion and resting him is likely the smart choice, given the Rams’ recent offensive losses.
  • SF Defensive End #97
49ers EDGE Nick Bosa (rib) is questionable to play in Week 3 against the Rams.
Bosa picked up a rib injury during Thursday’s practice and the team has yet to comment on its severity. Kyle Shanahan recounted how the injury occurred without stating his Week 3 expectations. We will monitor the newsfeed for more information.
  • TB Running Back #1
Rachaad White (groin) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 3 against the Broncos.
White was upgraded to a full practice on Friday after starting the week with two limited sessions. Bucky Irving’s emergence as a viable RB2 for Tampa Bay has knocked White’s volume down a peg, but he remains the clear top option for a surprisingly high-powered Bucs offense. White is a high-end fantasy RB2 for his Week 3 matchup with Denver.
  • DEN Wide Receiver #11
Broncos WR Josh Reynolds (Achilles) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 3 against the Bucs.
Reynolds has been getting some practice reps off because of the Achilles injury but never seemed at risk of missing Week 3. He currently leads the Broncos with nine receptions for 138 yards. Though it’s hard to see him keeping that pace up, it does put him in the WR4 ranks for Week 3.
  • SF Wide Receiver #1
49ers WR Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) is out for Week 3 against the Rams.
As expected, the 49ers will be without Samuel on Sunday. No. 3 WR Jauan Jennings can be started as a flex option if need be. The Rams’ secondary is dealing with multiple injuries of its own and Jennings should see a slight increase from the 4.5 targets per game he’s averaged through two weeks.
  • DEN Tight End #80
Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (knee/ankle) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 3 against the Bucs.
Dulcich has had no issue earning targets this year. He has 11 looks through two weeks despite ceding snaps to backup Adam Trautman. His issue, like the rest of the Denver offense, has been efficiency. Dulcich has turned those 11 looks in a grand total of 28 yards. He is stuck in the low-end TE2 range for Week 3.
