Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said the team would soon evaluate whether Isiah Pacheco (leg) can return this season.
Pacheco, who fractured his leg in Week 2 against the Bengals, underwent surgery this week. “I can’t give you a time when he’ll return,” Reid told reporters Thursday. “We’ll just see if it’s this season or next season.” It had been reported that Pacheco would miss 6-8 weeks with the leg injury, putting him back on the field sometime in November at the latest. That he could miss the remainder of the regular season means Carson Steele and Samaje Perine could split backfield duties for longer than expected. Kareem Hunt could also mix in at some point. Perine is likely to inherit the pass-catching role out of the KC backfield.

Miles Sanders (foot/ankle) was carted off the field in Week 10 against the Giants.
Sanders went down with a left ankle injury in the second quarter and appeared to be in significant pain. After spending a lengthy period with trainers, Sanders limped onto the cart and left the game. He was listed as doubtful to return and is obviously done for the day. With Jonathon Brooks out, Raheem Blackshear will take over RB2 duties for the rest of the game.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #10
NFL Network’s Tyreek Hill (wrist) is “truly up in the air” for Week 10 against the Rams.
Hill re-aggravated a training camp wrist injury earlier this week. He was held out of practice on Friday and Saturday before being listed as questionable. Per Pelissero, the Dolphins may not know until warmups if Hill will be able to suit up. Miami plays on Monday, meaning replacement options for Hill will be scarce if he can’t play. Coming off consecutive two-touchdown performances, Demarcus Robinson would be the best bet among Monday Night Football’s participants.
  • DAL Quarterback #19
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports there is a “strong possibility” that the Cowboys use Trey Lance in certain packages in Week 10 against the Eagles.
Dallas traded a fourth-round pick for Lance just before the start of the 2023 season. He has yet to take a snap for the team. With Dak Prescott out, it’s now or never for them to get a look at what he can do. Cooper Rush is slotted in as the starter, but it makes sense for Lance to see some niche work as the cowboys shift into evaluation mode.
  • SF Wide Receiver #1
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Deebo Samuel (rib/oblique) is expected to play in Week 10 against the Bucs.
Samuel was limited in practice throughout the week before being listed as questionable. The 49ers called him day to day before their Week 9 bye, so there was never much doubt about his Week 10 status. Samuel sits at the top of the WR2 ranks for his matchup with a bottom-tier Bucs pass defense.
  • SF Running Back #23
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) will play in Week 10 against the Bucs.
McCaffrey has been eyeing a Week 10 return for a while and Schefter even noted that the team believes he could have played last week. The 49ers were on bye, giving McCaffrey an extra week of rest. McCaffrey was listed as questionable this week, but all reports indicated he will play. That appears to be true and the last-place fantasy managers have never been more excited. Even in his first game back after missing the opening two months of the season, McCaffrey will rank as an RB1 versus a soft Tampa Bay defense.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #0
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Gabe Davis (shoulder) is expected to play in Week 10 against the Vikings.
Davis missed Week 9 with the shoulder issue. He practiced in a limited capacity throughout the week and is ready to return today. With Mac Jones taking Trevor Lawrence’s place in the lineup, any hopes of the one-off big play from Davis this week can be thrown out the window.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #7
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Brian Thomas Jr. (chest) is expected to play in Week 10 against the Vikings.
Thomas played through the injury last week and was never expected to miss Week 10 but was listed as questionable after a few limited practices. He and Gabe Davis are good to go. With Trevor Lawrence out of the lineup, Thomas’s fantasy stock is taking a big hit this week. He will spend a week at the end of the WR2 ranks with Mac Jones as the Jags’ starter.
  • JAX Quarterback #16
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) will not play in Week 10 against the Vikings.
Head coach Doug Pederson said as much on Friday morning, so the news isn’t much of a surprise. As Schefter notes, the Jags play the Lions next week and get their bye the following week. One more game off after today would give the young quarterback a lengthy recovery team. With their playoff hopes crushed, it makes sense to give Lawrence all the time he needs. Mac Jones will start in his absence. Jones is not on the streaming radar versus a brutal Minnesota defense.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #86
Giants declared WR Darius Slayton, SS Jason Pinnock, ILB Darius Muasau, QB Tommy DeVito, WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton, OG Jake Kubas, and NT Jordon Riley inactive for Week 10 against the Panthers.
Slayton did not make the trip to Germany and was ruled out earlier this week. Jalin Hyatt will take his place in the lineup. Hyatt has two receptions this year and is not on the fantasy radar for Week 10.
  • CAR Running Back #24
Panthers declared RB Jonathon Brooks, CB Shemar Bartholomew, DE Charles Harris, OT Ikem Ekwonu, TE Tommy Tremble, DT Jaden Crumedy, and S Jammie Robinson inactive for Week 10 against the Giants.
Brooks was listed as questionable for Week 10 despite being removed from the reserve/NFI list earlier this week. He also practiced in full during all three sessions. In the middle of a lost season, the Panthers are taking things absurdly slow with Brooks as he works his way back from a torn ACL. Chub Hubbard will dominate the rushing work versus the Giants this week.
