Saquon Barkley rushed 22 times for 95 yards in the Eagles’ Week 2 loss to the Falcons, adding 21 yards on four receptions.
Barkley was having a solid game as he commanded the backfield opportunities for the Eagles. That is, until a costly drop on a routine pass to the flat on third down with under two minutes remaining in the game. The Eagles would have been able to take a knee to end the game while up three points. Instead, they settled for a field goal before giving the ball back to Kirk Cousins with no timeouts. Cousins drove the field in just over a minute and tossed the go-ahead touchdown to Drake London with 34 seconds remaining. Even with the game changing drop, Barkley saw 27 of 29 running back opportunities, ceding just two carries on the opening drive to backup Kenneth Walker. His fantasy value remains high heading into a Week 3 matchup with the 2-0 Saints.
