Lions RT Penei Sewell (ankle) is questionable for Week 2 against the Bucs.
Sewell had his ankle rolled on in the Lions’ Week 1 win over the Rams. He was held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday this week before being upgraded to a limited session on Friday. Head coach Dan Campbell told reporters he wasn’t sure if Sewell would be able to play and that they are trying to be smart about his injury. The All-Pro right tackle is truly questionable for Week 2. Dan Skipper would likely be the next man up if Sewell can’t go.
  • SF Wide Receiver #11

The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports teams have expressed interest in trading for Brandon Aiyuk.
This was already shaping up to be an eventful offseason in San Francisco with an extension looming for Brock Purdy and GM John Lynch acknowledging that Deebo Samuel will be on the move. Now Aiyuk, who signed a $120 million extension last offseason, could also be out the door. It’s already been reported that the 26-year-old wide receiver’s availability is uncertain for the start of the season after tearing his MCL and ACL last October. There are scenarios where the 49ers enter 2025 with Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall as their top two receivers. If that’s the case, George Kittle’s ADP will skyrocket.
  • CLE Defensive End #95
The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports the Eagles are interested in acquiring Myles Garrett.
Russini, citing sources, was told the Eagles’ interest in Garrett is real and passes along a quote from a rival GM who wonders if Garrett is this offseason’s Saquon Barkley for Howie Roseman. The path to Philadelphia making this happen could be challenging, however. The Eagles have a list of key free agents they’d like to keep including Zack Baun, Josh Sweat, Milton Williams and Mekhi Becton. Philadelphia is 20th in the league with a little less than $18 million in cap space, according to spotrac. The Browns aren’t currently listening to trade offers for Garrett, though Russini believes there could be movement before the NFL Draft if the team changes its mind.
  • Beat reporter Paul Kuharsky reports that the Titans have scheduled the first four of their official 30 prospect visits, including EDGE Abdul Carter, DB/WR Travis Hunter, QB Cam Ward and QB Shedeur Sanders.
The Titans now get the opportunity to go in-depth with the 2025 draft class’ top-four prospects. These valuable top-30 visits are one way for the public to parse the mixed signals that NFL front offices begin sending out at this time of the year. If an NFL team opts to host a prospect via an official visit, it suggests they are strongly considering them as draft-day targets.
  • South Carolina S Nick Emmanwori produced three positional bests at the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday.
Emmanwori’s first place finishes include a 43.0-inch vertical jump, an 11-foot, six-inch broad jump and a 1.49-second 10-yard split in the 40-yard dash. His 4.38-second overall time in the 40-yard dash ranks second. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound safety regularly lined up in the box, as a free safety and in slot coverage at South Carolina, totaling eight tackles for loss or no gain, 13 forced incompletions and 217 solo tackles in his three-year college career.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #16
Titans head coach Brian Callahan told reporters that Treylon Burks (knee) is unlikely to participate in offseason workouts and might not be ready for training camp.
Burks underwent surgery last October to repair a partial ACL tear that he suffered during a Week 7 practice and has a long road ahead in his recovery. The 2022 first-round pick has not lived up to expectations and is scheduled to enter free agency after the 2025 season. This is an unfortunate start to Burks’ contract year.
  • CLG Quarterback
The Athletic’s Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed report “the Raiders came away particularly impressed with” Alabama QB Jalen Milroe and Texas QB Quinn Ewers’ film review sessions at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Raiders GM John Spytek told reporters that film review interviews at the NFL Scouting Combine are critical in prospect evaluation, calling them “a hugely important part and may be the most important part, especially at quarterback.” With Matthew Stafford no longer available, and the Raiders’ new leadership group reportedly being tepid on the remaining veteran QB options, accurately identifying worthwhile Day 2 QB options could prove pivotal.
Milroe can be 'very special' in right landing spot
The FFHH crew evaluate Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, discussing why he could become a "very special" QB in the NFL if he's drafted by the right team.
  • LV Running Back #3
The Athletic’s Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed report that Zamir White is “believed to be available” via trade.
Tafur and Reed perhaps generously describe White as having “had some great moments in 2023 before falling off due to scheme, vision and injuries last season.” It would be unsurprising to see the Raiders waive White after the draft but acquiring a late-round pick for him is technically possible.
  • LV Tight End #87
The Athletic’s Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed report that the “Raiders have had discussions with teams who have interest in tight end Michael Mayer.”
Mayer makes for an intriguing dart throw for TE-needy teams. The 2023 second-round pick missed six games due to personal reasons in 2024 but was a well-respected prospect just two years ago. With sub-$3 million salary cap hits in each of the next two seasons, Mayer profiles as a highly affordable, potential starter.
  • MIN Quarterback #14
The Athletic’s Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed report that Raiders co-owner Tom Brady and GM John Spytek “are not super high on Sam Darnold or the other potential free agent” quarterbacks.
The Raiders were reportedly ready to offer Matthew Stafford “a two-year deal for around $90-100 million” if Stafford wanted out of Los Angeles, and if the Rams were willing to accept a second-round pick in exchange, but Stafford chose to stay put. While Brady and Spytek obviously call the shots, it is worth noting that “there are members of the Raiders’ offensive coaching staff who prefer adding a proven veteran quarterback to taking a dice roll on a rookie quarterback.” The Raiders’ new leadership group failed to achieve its number one offseason goal, securing Stafford, and must now work through their first organizational obstacle. The results of the new quarterback search will have a lasting impact on the current group’s tenure.
  • LAR Tackle #77
Rams signed LT Alaric Jackson to a three-year, $57 million contract extension.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported a deal was in the works less than an hour ago and now the ink is dry. Jackson was set to be a free agent in a few weeks, but the Rams weren’t going to let a young left tackle hit the open market. Per FOX NFL’s Jordan Schultz, the extension includes $35 million guaranteed. Jackson took over as LA’s starting left tackle two years ago and took another step forward last year, cracking Pro Football Focus’s top 20 graded tackles. He is now under contract through 2027.
