Emari Demercado rushed four times for 59 yards and one touchdown and caught 2-of-2 targets for 21 yards in the Cardinals’ Week 9 win over the Bears.
Demercado was the featured player in the Cardinals’ two-minute drill, touching the ball on 2-of-4 plays. On third-and-five from the Cardinals’ own 47-yard line, Cardinals’ OC Drew Petzing called a strong-side run play against the Bears’ six-man box, gifted to them by Matt Eberflus and his prevent-style coverage defense. Demercado simply followed his blocks before breaking loose for a 53-yard score. Demercado later bobbled a handoff from Kyler Murray, though Murray was dinged with the lost fumble in the box score. Demercado is a worthwhile bench stash in 12-team PPR leagues.
