Texans placed QB Case Keenum on injured reserve.
The timing of the move will result in Keenum missing the entirety of the 2024 regular season, leaving the Texans with only David Mills behind franchise quarterback C.J. Stroud. It is likely the team pursues a quarterback from waivers in the coming days. Keenum’s 11-year career has taken him all over the league but he has not operated as a starter since the 2018 season with the Broncos.

Kenneth Gainwell rushed five times for 22 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles’ Week 12 win over the Rams.
Gainwell spelled lead back Saquon Barkley late in the game after the veteran alpha erupted for 302 combined yards, finding the end zone on a 13-yard scamper late in the third quarter. Gainwell remains unlikely to return consistent production playing behind fantasy’s top running back, but stands out as one of the clearest pure handcuffs in the league should something happen to Barkley down the stretch.
  • PHI Running Back #26
Saquon Barkley rushed 26 times for 255 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ Week 12 win over the Rams, adding 47 yards on four receptions.
Barkley and the rest of the Philadelphia offense had a rather modest first half, something that completely flipped after the break. Two rushing scores of 70 yards or more propelled Barkley to a top-10 rushing performance in the history of the league. The 302 combined yards were the first time a skill position player recorded 300 yards or more in a game since Julio Jones did it in 2016, with the dominant performance further distancing Barkley from the pack as the clear and away RB1 in fantasy. Barkley gets a more daunting matchup on the ground when the Eagles travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens in Week 12.
  • PHI Quarterback #1
Jalen Hurts completed 15-of-22 passes for 179 yards and one touchdown in the Eagles’ 37-20, Week 12 win over the Rams, adding 39 yards on 12 carries.
Hurts and the rest of the pass offense didn’t need to amass volume through the air on the coattails of Saquon Barkley’s 255 rush yards, but the veteran dual threat quarterback was sharp when called on. His exploits included a six-yard score to alpha wide receiver A.J. Brown just before the half. The convincing win was even more impressive when considering the Eagles trailed the Rams for almost the entirety of the second quarter, with Brown’s touchdown taking the Eagles into the break with a six point lead. Hurts and the Eagles improve to 9-2, one game behind the Lions for the lead in the NFC. Up next for the Eagles are the 7-4 Ravens in Week 13.
  • DEN Running Back #38
Jaleel McLaughlin had seven rushes for 44 yards in the Broncos’ Week 12 win against the Raiders.
McLaughlin did not catch his lone target on the day. He was easily the most effective Broncos back against the Raiders; Javonte Williams somehow had -2 yards on eight rushing attempts while Audric Estime had 15 yards on six carries. McLaughlin appeared to sustain a lower body injury in the first half so his practice status will be worth monitoring. Seeing almost no pass game usage, McLaughlin won’t be usable in fantasy formats in Week 13 against Cleveland.
  • DEN Running Back #23
Audric Estime had three rushes for 15 yards in the Broncos’ Week 12 win against the Raiders.
Estime ran well behind Javonte Williams, who had -2 yards on eight rushing attempts. Jaleel McLaughlin managed 44 yards on seven rushes in another frustrating week for anyone trying to figure out the ever-changing Denver backfield. Estime, who had six rushes in Week 11, won’t be playable in Week 13 against the Browns.
  • LV Quarterback #10
Desmond Ridder completed 5-of-10 attempts for 64 yards in the Raiders’ Week 12 loss against the Broncos, adding one rush for three yards.
Ridder lost a fumble that effectively ended the game. He came in late in the fourth quarter after Gardner Minshew left the game with what turned out to be a season-ending collarbone injury. The always-inaccurate Ridder would be a significant downgrade for the Vegas offense if he’s forced into action next week against the Chiefs. Aidan O’Connell could get a chance to start if the Raiders were spooked by Ridder’s poor showing in Week 12.
  • CAR Running Back #24
Jonathon Brooks had two rushes for seven yards in the Panthers’ Week 12 loss against the Chiefs.
Brooks was held to a couple carries in his NFL debut while Chuba Hubbard had 17 touches. Hubbard saw all the red zone work and was the only Carolina running back to log a pass route in Week 12. Brooks for now is a bench stash in case Hubbard misses time in the season’s final month.
  • SF Running Back #24
Jordan Mason rushed three times for eight yards and caught 1-of-2 targets for five yards in the 49ers’ Week 12 loss to the Packers.
Mason also fumbled once, though the Packers were unable to recover it. The first-half-season fantasy star is just a bench stash at this time. His scoring potential is hamstrung with Brandon Allen under center.
  • SF Running Back #23
Christian McCaffrey rushed 11 times for 31 yards, caught 3-of-4 targets for 37 yards and lost one fumble in the 49ers’ Week 12 loss to the Packers.
McCaffrey’s fumble was about as clean as it gets. One defender wrapped him up and the other punched the ball out before he hit the ground. The veteran RB has averaged just 3.5 yards per carry since his Week 10 return. He is a low-end RB1 against the Bills next week if Brandon Allen remains the starter.
  • LV Running Back #23
Dylan Laube did not record a touch in the Raiders’ Week 12 loss against the Broncos.
Outside of a 59-yard kickoff return, Laube was invisible. Alexander Mattison and Zamir White were sidelined, leaving Ameer Abdullah and Sincere McCormick — who had never had a regular season carry before Sunday — to split the Vegas backfield work. Laube did not run a pass route against Denver.
