Daniel Jones completed 22-of-37 passes for 190 yards and two interceptions in the Giants’ 20-17, Week 10 overtime loss to the Panthers.
Jones played three quarters of stagnant football and even looked likely to get benched at halftime. The Giants were being shutout versus one of the league’s worst defenses and he had already thrown one interception, a doink off the helmet of a defender a few feet in front of him that was eventually fielded by Xavier Woods. Jones turned things around with a 96-yard scoring drive that ended with a two-yard rushing score for the passer in the fourth quarter. He later led the Giants to a game-tying field near the end of regulation. Tyrone Tracy Jr. then fumbled away the first carry of overtime, undoing Jones’s comeback effort. Brian Daboll will have the bye week to consider whether or not he wants to trot Jones out for a Week 12 start versus the Bucs. Needless to say, fantasy managers can ignore this quarterback room going forward.
