C.J. Stroud said “I want to definitely attack down the field more this year.”
After an impressive rookie season in which he threw for 4,108-23-5 while walking away with Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, Stroud is looking for more this season. Per PFF, Stroud led all quarterbacks with a 9.4 ADOT last season (min. 300 dropbacks), but ranked 14th in deep attempts (57). With that in mind, Stroud’s deep completion percentage (56.1 percent) was second only to Brock Purdy, while his 1,111 yards on said attempts also ranked second. Stroud has an explosive wide receiver corps that includes Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs, and Tank Dell. More deep shots from last year’s ADOT leader is exactly the kind of thing fantasy managers want to hear heading into the season.
