Eagles traded up with the Commanders to select Iowa CB Cooper DeJean with the No. 40 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Eagles sent Nos. 50, 53, and 161 to move up. They also received No. 78 and 152. DeJean (6’/202) was a star AAU basketball player in addition to being a two-way football star, playing quarterback and DB. A four-star 2021 fall camp arrival, DeJean bided his time as a special teamer before exploding on the scene in 2022 with a season for the Iowa ages. He started all 13 games while playing mostly corner, but also spent 140 snaps in the slot and another 91 snaps in the box to take advantage of his hybrid safety skill set. He recorded 75 tackles, 25 stops and five interceptions, three of which were returned for touchdowns. The Second Team All-Big Ten corner accounted for a microscopic 4% missed tackle rate (4th in FBS) with 2.8 adjusted yards per target which greatly contributed to his 89th% PFF defensive grade. DeJean was named to the coveted Bruce Feldman’s Freaks List prior to 2023 and delivered another praiseworthy campaign of 41 tackles, seven PBU and two interceptions before suffering a broken right leg that limited his season to 10 games. The Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year in 2023, DeJean shifted to corner full-time and flourished by limiting opponents to a 38% catch rate with a meager 44 yards after catch allowed on 20 receptions. Though he was unable to test at the Combine, Iowa’s CB1 ran a 4.46s 40-yard dash (80th%) with a 1.52s 10-yard split (90th%) and 38.5” vertical (88th%) for a 9.85 RAS. A full-sized cornerback who has unusual speed for his frame, DeJean is a terrific all-around athlete with a tone-setting attitude. He will immediately help Philly get their defense back on track after things came apart at the seams in 2023.
  • LAC Linebacker #6

Denzel Perryman is questionable to return in Week 16 against the Broncos.
Perryman was making his first appearance for the Chargers in four weeks because of the groin injury. The veteran linebacker will likely sit the rest of the Thursday Night contest and Troy Dye should see the majority of the snaps in the middle for the Los Angeles linebacker corps.
  • LAC Safety #24
Marcus Maye (ankle) is questionable to return in Week 16 against the Broncos.
The Chargers have been riddled with injuries to the secondary, and now Maye will be out of action for the foreseeable future during Thursday night’s contest. He’s currently undergoing X-rays, which doesn’t seem to bode well for a return Thursday night.
  • DAL EDGE #11
Micah Parsons told reporters Thursday that he’s hopeful to have a new contract before the start of the 2025 season.
“I’m going to try and work with them as much as possible to help them attack free agency,” Parsons said. “I want to be back with this team. This offseason, I want to be here. I want to get these guys right. I want to take big steps, so hopefully it can be done sooner than later so we can attack the offseason.” Parsons is one of the most productive defenders in football, and the 2021 first-round pick will likely become one of the highest paid defensive players in the history of the sport whenever he signs a new deal.
  • SEA Tight End #87
Noah Fant (knee) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Fant was limited Wednesday but that’s likely to be the case as the Seahawks look to load-manage the 27-year-old tight end for the rest of the 2024 campaign. Fant will be a low-end TE2 for Week 16 against the Vikings.
  • SEA Running Back #26
Zach Charbonnet (oblique) was limited during Thursday’s practice.
Charbonnet was limited during Wednesday and Thursday’s sessions after picking up an oblique injury during the blowout loss to the Packers on Sunday. Even if the 23-year-old is able to play, his role will likely be limited — considerably — with the presumed return of Kenneth Walker from his calf injury. Kenny McIntosh would be the backup if Charbonnet did miss Week 16 against the Vikings.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #14
DK Metcalf (shoulder) was a full participant for Thursday’s practice.
Metcalf didn’t practice at all Wednesday, but it appears to just be maintenance as the Seahawks do their best to keep the wideout healthy for the final few weeks. It seems likely that Metcalf will be on the field for Week 16 against the Vikings, but it’s worth noting it’s been five games since Metcalf has found the end zone and he hasn’t gone over 100 yards since September 30.
Metcalf, Seahawks RBs 'hard to trust' in Week 16
The Rotoworld Football Show analyze DK Metcalf's growing slump and the questions surrounding Seattle's backfield before pivoting to outlooks for Sam Darnold and Jordan Addison for the Vikings in Week 16.
  • SEA Running Back #9
Kenneth Walker (calf) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
After missing Wednesday’s practice — and the last two games — Walker getting in a full session is delightful news for fantasy managers hoping to play the 24-year-old tailback Sunday. Assuming no setbacks, it seems very likely Walker will get the ball an awful lot in Week 16 against the Vikings. That workload could be even bigger if Zach Charbonnet (oblique) getting a limited session Thursday.
  • LAC Tight End #88
Hayden Hurst (hip) is active for Week 16 against the Broncos.
Hurt will be playing for the first time since the end of November after being placed on injured reserve with his hip injury He isn’t likely to be a major fantasy contributor, but with Will Dissly (shoulder) inactive, it could open up some snaps/targets. The remaining inactives for the Chargers are CB Cam Hart S Elijah Molden LB Shaquille Quarterman OL Brenden Jaimes OL Jordan McFadden and QB Easton Stick (emergency QB)
Matthew Berry, Connor Rogers and Jay Croucher give their favorite prop bets for the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Broncos and Chargers in Denver, including Courtland Sutton having over 60.5 receiving yards.
  • DEN Running Back #38
Broncos declared RB Jaleel McLaughlin, QB Zack Wilson, CB Riley Moss, CB Levi Wallace, LB Levelle Bailey, T Frank Hennigan and DL Matt Henningsen inactive for Week 16 against the Chargers.
McLaughlin was ruled out Wednesday for Week 16 by the Broncos on Wednesday, but it’s just a friendly reminder. Wilson will be the emergency third quarterback for the Thursday Night Football contest.
  • SEA Quarterback #7
Geno Smith (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday.
Seahawks offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb told reporters Thursday that Smith took every snap during the session, and looked good doing it. The 34-year-old was forced out of action during Sunday’s blowout loss to the Packers, but it appears all systems are go for a must-win — or pretty close to it — game against the Vikings in Week 16.
