  • BUF Head Coach
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Bills have “received calls from teams considering trading up” to the No. 33 pick.
The Bills played the long game in the first round of the draft, trading down once from 28 to 32 and then again from 32 to 33. A receiver was drafted with the pick they gave up both times. The Bills, in need of a wideout themselves, reportedly have multiple players they “really like” at No. 33. If that’s the case, they could move down once again and still have a shot at landing one of their guys.
  • PIT Quarterback #3
Russell Wilson (calf) told reporters Thursday that he is “gaining ground” ahead of Week 3 against the Chargers.
“I’m definitely gaining ground,” Wilson said. “I feel good.” He also noted that he was able to do more in practice than before as he tries to comeback from the calf injury that has sidelined him for the first two weeks. Wilson still seems unlikely to play Sunday, and it’s possible Justin Fields would get the nod even if Wilson was healthy.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #11
A.J. Brown (hamstring) was not spotted at Thursday’s open portion of practice.
Brown was listed as a DNP for Wednesday during the team’s walkthrough, and looks like he won’t be able to get a practice in a day later. The star wideout missed Monday’s game against the Falcons with his hamstring strain, and all signs point to the 27-year-old missing Week 3 against the Saints.
  • CLE Tight End #85
David Njoku (ankle) did not practice Thursday.
Not a surprise, but still worth noting as Njoku has been declared “unlikely” to play in Week 3 against the Giants. With the 28-year-old all but assuredly out for that contest, Jordan Akins will be the teams top tight end, but there’s not much fantasy intrigue in that profile. Pierre Strong Jr. (hamstring) was also unable to practice.
  • CLE EDGE #95
Myles Garrett (foot) is not practicing Thursday.
Garrett has missed back-to-back practices as he continues to work his way back from a foot injury that has limited the 28-year-old. He was also limited last week and he was able to play, however, so there’s a very good chance he’s on the field against the Giants in Week 3. Sorry, Danny Dimes.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #88
CeeDee Lamb (ankle) participated in the open portion of practice Thursday.
Lamb was able to take part in the open portion, and that’s obviously a great sign for his status going forward. Fantasy managers will want to make sure he’s able to take part Friday and check the designation, but at this point it’d be an upset if he isn’t on the field Sunday against the Ravens.
  • GB Tight End #85
Tucker Kraft (shoulder) is wearing a non-contact jersey during Thursday’s practice.
Kraft was a limited participant during Wednesday’s game after picking up a shoulder injury during Sunday’s game against the Colts, and he’ll likely earn the same designation for Thursday’s session. Kraft’s fantasy potential will be tied to whether Jordan Love (knee) can play Sunday, but he does have more value than fellow second-year wideout Luke Musgrave at this stage of the season.
  • GB Wide Receiver #11
Jayden Reed (calf) was spotted at the open portion of practice Thursday.
Reed missed Wednesday’s practice with his calf and shin issues, but he was able to get back on the field Thursday. He should be fine for Week 3 against the Titans, but keep an eye on his status in practice in the coming days
  • GB Quarterback #10
Jordan Love (knee) is practicing in pads Thursday ahead of Week 3 against the Titans.
Love is taking part in drills and making throws during the open portion of practice. This comes after Adam Schefter’s report earlier Thursday that Love has a chance to play in Week 3 despite his MCL sprain. Fantasy managers need to have a backup plan if he can’t go, but it does appear that at the very least that Love is essentially 50/50 to go against the Titans in Week 3.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #5
Josh Palmer (calf/elbow) was working off to the side during Thursday’s practice according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic.
Palmer didn’t practice Wednesday, and while he wasn’t participating in drills during Thursday’s session, it’s at least somewhat positive the 6-foot-1 wideout was able to get some work in. Palmer is considered questionable for now, but his already shaky status as a fantasy play would make him a risky Week 3 option regardless if he’s active or not.
  • HOU Running Back #28
Joe Mixon (ankle) was not spotted at Thursday’s practice.
Mixon wasn’t seen at the open portion of practice, and neither was Dameon Pierce, who is also nursing an ankle injury and wasn’t able to play in SNF against the Bears. Mixon picked up his ankle injury during that contest, and hasn’t been at either practice. If Mixon can’t go, Cam Akers will likely dominate the touches for Week 3 against the Vikings, with Dare Ogunbowale getting some work as well.
