Panthers hired Bucs OC Dave Canales as head coach.
In his first year as an offensive coordinator with the Buccaneers, Canales helped lead the Bucs to a 9-8 record while guiding Baker Mayfield to a 4,044-28-10 season. Tampa Bay ranked 20th in points per game (20.5) and 23rd in yards per game (313.0), but that was enough to put him on Carolina’s radar. The Panthers were the only team to interview Canales during this coaching cycle, but an outside-the-box hire was somewhat expected from a team/owner that is now headed on its third coach in three seasons. Canales faces an uphill battle to improve a Panthers roster that went 2-15 while gifting the No.1 overall pick in this year’s draft to the Bears. Last year’s No. 1 overall pick, Bryce Young, already feels like somewhat of a reclamation after posting one of the worst rookie years in recent NFL history, but there’s a lot of work to be done on both sides of the ball.
  • IND Tackle #79
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Colts declared T Bernhard Raimann, TE Will Mallory, DE Isaiah Land, S Darren Hall, WR Anthony Gould, and QB Sam Ehlinger inactive for Indianapolis’ Week 12 game against the Lions.
Raimann still has not practiced since injuring his knee in practice a couple Wednesdays ago. His Week 13 status is probably up in the air at this point. The rest of this list is the usual inactives for Indianapolis, with three repeats and third quarterback Ehlinger joining Land — who had played in 10 of 11 games so far for the Colts this year despite just one tackle.
  • NE Wide Receiver #2
Patriots declared WR K.J. Osborn, DE Titus Leo, QB Joe Milton, G Tyrese Robinson, NT Jaquelin Roy, and DE Deatrich Wise inactive for Week 12 against the Dolphins.
No real surprises here. K.J. Osborn continues to be inactive despite putting together some solid stretches for the Vikings in previous seasons.
  • DET Tight End #87
Sam LaPorta (shoulder) is active for Week 12 against the Colts.
CB Terrion Arnold G Kayode Awosika DT Brodric Martin T Giovanni Manu OL Colby Sorsdal LB Al-Quadin Muhammed
  • DET Cornerback #0
Lions declared CB Terrion Arnold, OL Giovanni Manu, DL Al-Quadin Muhammad, OL Kayode Awosika, OL Colby Sorsdal, and DL Brodric Martin inactive for Detroit’s Week 12 game against the Colts.
Arnold will miss his first game of the season with a groin injury. He got in a full practice on Friday and will probably trend towards playing on Thanksgiving. Emmanuel Moseley (pectoral) is playing off a questionable tag. Everyone else on the list is inactive as a healthy scratch.
  • IND Defensive End #94
Colts EDGE Tyquan Lewis (elbow) is active for Week 12 against the Lions.
Lewis will make his first appearance since injuring his elbow in Week 4 against the Steelers. His addition should be a boon for a Colts front seven that has struggled to pressure the passer in recent weeks. The Colts declared QB Sam Ehlinger, WR Anthony Gould, S Darren Hall, DE Isaiah Land, TE Will Mallory, and LT Bernhard Raimann inactive against the Lions.
  • MIN Tight End #84
Vikings declared TE Josh Oliver, CB Dwight McGlothern, DL Levi Drake Rodriguez, OL Dan Feeney, and OL Walter Rouse inactive for Week 12 against the Bears.
Oliver was ruled out on Friday with an ankle injury. His absence will clear the way for T.J. Hockenson’s role to grow in his fourth game back from his 2023 torn ACL. Johnny Mundt should also see a few extra snaps with Oliver out.
  • DAL Cornerback #7
Cowboys declared CB Trevon Diggs, CB Caelen Carson, RB Deuce Vaughn, OG Zack Martin, OG Tyler Smith, TE Jake Ferguson, and DE Tyrus Wheat inactive for Week 12 against the Commanders.
The hits keep on coming for the Cowboys, who revealed on Saturday that they would be without both Martin (ankle) and Diggs (groin/knee). Ferguson will miss Sunday’s game after suffering a concussion in last week’s loss to the Texans, leaving the them without several key starters in what has the makings of a disastrous game on the road against the Commanders. Tight end Luke Schoonmaker, who caught 6-of-10 targets for 56 yards in last week’s game makes for a viable streaming option in place of Ferguson.
  • TEN Running Back #2
Titans declared RB Tyjae Spears, CB Gabe Jeudy-Lally, OL Leroy Watson, and TE David Martin-Robinson inactive for Tennessee’s Week 12 game against the Texans.
Both Justin Hardee (groin) and Roger McCreary (knee) will play off questionable tags. Spears was ruled out on Friday with a concussion, but he actually got a limited practice in and may be trending towards playing next week. Watson (back) did not practice all week and was a Friday rule-out. Jeudy-Lally and Martin-Robinson make for hyphenated inactives.
  • CHI Running Back #4
D’Andre Swift (groin) is active for Week 12 against the Vikings.
Swift was a full participant in Friday’s practice before being listed as questionable, so there was never much doubt about his ability to play this week. With Roschon Johnson eating into his role, Swift is on the RB2/3 border for Week 12. Inactive for the Bears are WR Tyler Scott, S Elijah Hicks, DB Ameer Speed, OL Ryan Bates, OT Kiran Amegadjie, and DE Dominique Robinson.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #1
Malik Nabers (groin) is active for Week 12 against the Bucs.
How healthy Nabers really is after tweaking his groin in Friday’s practice is an open question. On the other hand, the tanking Giants aren’t really in position to be pushing anything. If Nabers is going, it’s probably because the injury was a legitimate tweak. We feel fine starting Nabers across the board despite his dicey quarterback situation with Tommy DeVito under center. Inactive for the G-Men are S Anthony Johnson, CB Tre Hawkins, OG Jake Kubas, DL Jordon Riley and QB Tim Boyle.
