NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports “there is interest” in the Panthers head coaching job.
Garafolo implied there’s more interest than he would have guessed, considering Carolina’s volatile owner, David Tepper, their undersized quarterback, Bryce Young and organization’s lack of draft capital. Garafolo said the goal of the next Carolina head coach will be to “surround [Young] with talent,” though it’s unclear how the team would pull that off. The Panthers job is one of the least appealing in recent NFL memory.
