Fox Sports’ Peter Schrager reports the Panthers have requested permission to interview Buccaneers assistant GM Mike Greenberg for their GM vacancy.
Greenberg has been with the Buccaneers since 2010 but wasn’t promoted to assistant general manager until 2023. A long-time front office guy, Greenberg has spent time as the Buccaneers’ vice president of football administration, director of football administration, and coordinator of football administration, per his team bio. According to an
article by Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, Greenberg was instrumental in helping the Buccaneers “pivot to a win-now model during Tom Brady’s three years,” and he brings a wealth of knowledge from the salary cap side of operations.
