Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt was diagnosed with a Grade 2 MCL sprain, according to his brother, JJ Watt.
J.J. Watt tweeted on Sunday that it was the “best case scenario for TJ,” who was initially thought to have torn his MCL in Saturday’s win over the Ravens. According to J.J., “everything else looks pristine,” and T.J. will need a couple weeks of rest and recovery before he’s able to return to the field. That means that he could return this season if the Steelers are able to get into the playoffs and make a deep run; although, there has been no official timeline put on his recovery by the team as of yet.
