NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Jets RB Israel Abanikanda will see “a few snaps” in Week 11 against the Bills.
Rapoport said the Jets will “skew younger” in Week 11 and named a handful of first or second-year players who should see more looks. Among the names were tight end Jeremy Ruckert and wide receivers Xavier Gipson, Jason Brownlee, and Charles Irvin. A few reps may not sound like a lot for Abanikanda, but the fifth-round rookie has yet to take the field this year. With Michael Carter waived earlier in the week, the Jets have a notable role to backfill. Breece Hall should see an uptick in routes but Abanikanda could also be part of their plan to replace Carter’s reps. Abanikanda is worth a stash in dynasty leagues.
