Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon said Joshua Dobbs will start in Week 9 against the Browns.
Gannon wasted little time in naming Dobbs the starter for Week 9’s matchup against the Browns. Kyler Murray wasn’t on the team’s Week 8 injury report on Friday, but was given a questionable tag ahead of Sunday’s game against the Ravens. The 21 day window to activate Murray is closing quickly, but the team doesn’t have to activate him until after Week 9. Murray will presumably play in Week 10 when the Cardinals take on the Falcons, but next week’s game belongs to Dobbs.
  • KC Running Back #10

Chiefs ruled out Isiah Pacheco (leg) for Week 11 against the Bills.
Pacheco will require at least one more week before playing. Fortunately, the Chiefs face the Panthers in Week 12 and the Raiders in Week 13, providing the talented running back a pair of soft defenses to regain his footing against, assuming he is good to go next week.
  • GB Running Back #32
ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reports “MarShawn Lloyd woke up this morning with appendicitis.”
Lloyd’s health issues have run the gamut this season. The talented rookie is currently in returning from a stint on injured reserve, where he recovered from both ankle and hamstring injuries suffered earlier this year. Demovsky adds, “since Lloyd’s 21-day practice window opened already and an appendectomy usually requires several weeks recovery, the Packers are talking to the NFL to see if there’s a way he can still play later on.” We wish Lloyd a swift and complete recovery from his appendectomy. Re-draft managers do not need to continue rostering him at this time.
  • ATL Linebacker #44
Falcons LB Try Andersen (knee) will not play in Week 11 against the Broncos.
Andersen had been dealing with the knee issue for roughly a month heading into Week 10. he was cleared to play but re-aggravated the knee issue and is now going to miss more time. An IR stint wouldn’t be surprising given the lingering nature of the issue.
  • BUF Linebacker #58
Bills ruled out LB Matt Milano (biceps) for Week 11 against the Chiefs.
Milano closed the week with three consecutive Limited Participant practice designations but will ultimately wait until after the Bills’ Week 12 bye before suiting up. He appears highly likely to play in Week 13 given this week’s participation.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Aaron Jones (ribs) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 11 against the Titans.
Jones will play through the pain this week, likely on a high-volume workload against the Titans’ stout run defense. He can be started as an RB2 though he comes with a little more risk than he usually would. Cam Akers is a prudent bench stash given the circumstances.
  • ATL Running Back #25
Tyler Allgeier (quad) was removed from injury report and will play in Week 11 against the Broncos.
Allgeier was limited in Wednesday’s practice with the quad issue. It was just a maintenance day for the bruising back as he returned for a full session on Thursday. Allgeier is a touchdown-or-bust RB3 heading into his Week 11 matchup with Denver.
  • ATL Quarterback #18
Kirk Cousins (shoulder/elbow) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 11 against the Broncos.
Cousins was limited in Wednesday’s practice but got upgraded to a full session the following day. Head coach Raheem Morris called it normal soreness for Cousins and wide receiver Darnell Mooney, who was added to the injury report with an Achilles issue. Nothing to see here. Staring down a tough matchup with a strong Broncos defense, Cousins will hang out near the top of the QB2 ranks for Week 11.
  • MIN Quarterback #14
Sam Darnold (right hand) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 11 against the Titans.
Darnold will be available for those who need him in two-quarterback leagues but a throwing-hand injury coupled with worsening play is hardly encouraging. Darnold is firmly in the QB2 ranks rather than being a QB1-viable.
  • ATL Wide Receiver #1
Darnell Mooney (Achilles) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 11 against the Broncos.
Mooney was a surprise addition to the injury report on Thursday, being listed as a limited participant because of the Achilles injury. The move was likely a precaution as he has no game designation heading into the weekend. Mooney has at least 88 yards in each of his past three games, putting him squarely in the WR3 ranks for Week 11.
  • CIN Defensive Lineman #92
Bengals DL B.J. Hill (knee) is questionable for Week 11 against the Chargers.
Hill has proven himself as a difference-making interior pass rusher, whose early-season absence allowed opponents to bully the Bengals’ front seven. Among 62 NFL interior defenders with at least 140 pass-rushing snaps, Hill ranks 19th in pass-rush win rate (11.5 percent). Hopefully, both Hill and DE Trey Hendrickson (neck) can suit up on Sunday.
