Panthers placed DE Yetur Gross-Matos (hamstring) on IR.
Gross-Matos had been one of the few bright spots on the Carolina defense, recording 2.5 sacks already, just one off his career-high. However, he injured his hamstring in Week 7 and head coach Frank Reich told reporters that “It wasn’t just a little strain, it was pretty significant.” Gross-Matos will now have four weeks to try and heal up.

Raiders interviewed Dolphins QB coach and passing game coordinator Darrell Bevell for their open offensive coordinator position.
Bevell is believed to be the front-runner for the position and now the Raiders officially interview him. He was new Raiders head coach Pete Carroll’s offensive coordinator in Seattle for eight seasons, winning a Super Bowl with the squad. Spending the last three seasons as the Dolphins’ quarterbacks coach, Bevell could now return to Carroll’s side. The Raiders have question marks at quarterback and much of the rest of the offense, but hiring Bevell would reunite what was a successful offense, though fantasy managers should exercise caution with the Raiders offense still needing more pieces to work.

Browns moved offensive assistant Bill Musgrave to quarterbacks coach.
Musgrave served as a senior offensive assistant on head coach Kevin Stefanski’s staff for the past two seasons. The Browns now move him to quarterbacks coach to work with a quarterback room that is far from finalized. Deshaun Watson is injured, and the starting spot is still in flux amidst middling quarterback play the last few seasons. Musgrave has offensive coordinator experience in both the NFL and college. He moves to try and improve the Browns’ quarterback output.
  • TEN Quarterback #8
Titans coach Brian Callahan said Will Levis will work with independent quarterback coach Jordan Palmer this offseason.
“Hopefully that’s an illuminating process for him, a different way of doing things,” Callahan said. “He’s going to be out there for two months, whatever it is, some of the footwork, the base, some of the pocket movement things that have to improve.” The Titans have not tipped their hand about the No. 1 pick, but talking about Levis improving in the present certainly indicates they at least are open to the idea of the third-year signalcaller getting a chance to compete for the quarterback job in training camp. What competition Levis will have at the position remains unsettled at this point.
  • NYG Head Coach
New York Post’s Paul Schwartz writes that “there’s strong sentiment inside the Giants building” for head coach Brian Daboll to give up play calling duties.
“There is a feeling that by handing that responsibility back to Mike Kafka, the offensive coordinator, Daboll would be in a better position to manage the entire team, sitting in on defensive meetings and expanding his focus to make sure small details do not fall through the cracks,” Schwartz writes. Of course, Kafka is up for the Saints head coaching vacancy still, so that may be a road block for this plan. The journey of “Who is calling plays for the Giants?” is a long one under Daboll, much too long to go over in a blurb. But it’s pretty clear that the Giants were a better offense when Kafka called plays in 2022 than they were in 2024 when Daboll did. Perhaps this is something to look out for if the Saints hand their job to Kellen Moore or Mike McCarthy.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Texans interviewed Bucs QB coach Thad Lewis for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Per Rapoport, Lewis has had several requests for interviews but this is the first one he’s actually taken. Lewis interviewed for the Buccaneers offensive coordinator position in 2024, but has not been mentioned as a candidate for the role this offseason. Lewis, a former NFL backup quarterback who started five games with the Bills in 2013 and one for the Browns in 2012, came aboard in Tampa as an offensive assistant with Bruce Arians. The Duke grad also has worked as an offensive analyst for UCLA.
  • WAS Offensive Coordinator
FOX’s Jordan Schultz reports Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury will stay in Washington and not interview for the Saints head coaching vacancy.
This was always the way the reports about Kingsbury seemed to be leaning, and he essentially decided against interviewing with the Saints and Bears during Washington’s playoff run. Kingsbury’s has revitalized his career prospects with Jayden Daniels and seems likely to be a hot coaching candidate in 2026. Of course, we would have said the same thing in Bobby Slowik’s blurb in 2025, so this isn’t without risk for Kingsbury. But ultimately, as Adam Schefter put it when asked about Kingsbury a week ago, it was very obvious that he was “not rushing to become a head coach again.”
  • WAS Wide Receiver #17
The Athletic’s Ben Standig writes that he “expects” Terry McLaurin’s agent to seek a new deal this offseason.
McLaurin is entering the final year of a three-year extension signed in 2022. Entering his age-30 season in 2025, there’s no doubting McLaurin’s credentials on the field even as he creeps closer to the inevitable decline phase. An extension could get McLaurin’s guaranteed cash flow going again and lower his $25.25 million cap figure for 2025. It seems like as obvious place as any to start as the Commanders look to keep last year’s momentum going with what Over The Cap has as $87 million in cap space lined up for this offseason.
  • FA Defensive Coordinator
The Athletic’s Vic Tatur and Tashan Reed report Raiders head coach Pete Carroll “planned to talk to” Patrick Graham about returning as defensive coordinator in 2025.
The flimsy way this was worded makes us think that Graham may not be a first choice for the Raiders, who have also interviewed in-house defensive line coach Rob Leonard and requested permission to speak to Seattle defensive backs coach Karl Scott for the vacancy. Graham has also been interviewed for the Jaguars defensive coordinator gig and was reportedly a finalist for the Bengals defensive coordinator job.

The Athletic’s Tashan Reed and Vic Tatur write that Dolphins quarterbacks coach Darrell Bevell is “believed to be the front-runner” for the Raiders offensive coordinator vacancy.
Bevell, of course, was Pete Carroll’s offensive coordinator in Seattle from 2011-2017, sharing in the franchise’s multiple Super Bowl berths. He’s coached Dolphins quarterbacks for the past three years after washing out with the Lions in 2020 and Jaguars in 2021 at offensive coordinator. Bevell would not exactly be an inspiring hire for fantasy purposes, but he has plenty of NFL experience and can help get things up to a tenable level for the Raiders on the offensive side of the ball before they start thinking about optimizing everything.
  • CLE EDGE #95
Browns GM Andrew Berry told reporters he would not trade Myles Garrett and would like him to “retire here.”
The specific question and answer about trading Garrett was: “if someone sees you at dinner tonight and says, ‘we’ll give you two ones for Miles do you say I’m not interested?’” to which Berry said “Correct, you can put that on the record.” Berry also indicated a willingness to talk extension with Cleveland’s star pass rusher, saying “I think you can assume that we do anticipate at some point doing a third contract with Myles. We want him to retire here.” It’s not much of a surprise as the Browns have never operated as sellers at any point during Berry’s tenure and Garrett just put together a season as good as any edge player in the NFL, but there were some rumblings about the Browns considering a trade for Garrett in December. It does not look like that will come to pass.
