This isn’t the start the Lions wanted to see out of their fourth-year pass rusher. Okwara has managed seven sacks through 29 career games, and burst onto the scene this preseason with a three-sack performance against the Giants. He’ll know be forced to miss at least the first four games of this season, and will be eligible to return in Week 5 when the Lions take on the Panthers. In a corresponding move, the Lions signed running back Craig Reynolds from the practice squad.

He caught 38-of-43 targets for 373 yards and two touchdowns while forcing an additional eight missed tackles. Hampton has the type of three-down skillset to steal Tyrone Tracy Jr.'s starting role.

Johnson showcased adequate speed (4.57-second 40-yard dash) for a big-bodied back at the NFL Scouting Combine. In his final season at Iowa last year, he rushed 240 times for 1,535 yards and 21 touchdowns while never once fumbling and forcing 66 missed tackles. Although he is less accomplished as a receiver, Johnson notably caught 22-of-25 targets for 190 yards and two touchdowns. He would provide the Bengals with a burly complement to incumbent starter Chase Brown (5-foot-9, 209 pounds).

Per a follow-up report from NBC Sports’ ProFootballTalk, “the NFL could take action under the Personal Conduct Policy, regardless of whether no action is taken against Hill in the criminal justice system.” The NFL, however, does not have subpoena power, so participation by the requestees is voluntary. There’s probably not a reason to expect Hill to draw a conduct policy suspension just yet, but if Hill’s mother-in-law or wife cooperate with the NFL, fantasy managers should probably have this case on their radar this offseason.

Marshall may have a chance to battle Jahan Dotson for the No. 3 WR role but is perhaps best suited to the No. 4 or 5 gig. Marshall caught 3-of-5 targets for 41 yards with the Raiders in 2024. He caught his lone career touchdown with the Panthers in 2022. He’s definitely not someone who is assured a roster spot heading into training camp.

Per the report, “Bond, 20, was subsequently released after posting bail.” Further details on the matter have not yet been released. In a statement made to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Bond said he is fully cooperating with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation. Bond spent 2022 and 2023 at Alabama before transferring to Texas for 2024. The Texas product had been a projected Day 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but if this investigation hangs over him, it’s possible he falls.

Carter had his medical recheck in Indianapolis on Thursday after a stress reaction in his right foot was discovered during the NFL Scouting Combine in February. “It should be a non-factor with the teams at this point,” agent Drew Rosenhaus said. Carter is expected to arrive in New Jersey on Thursday evening where he will have dinner with the Giants, before his top-30 visit with the team on Friday, per the MMQB’s Albert Breer.

Riddick’s comments matter here because he is in close contact with Deion Sanders, his former teammate with the Falcons in the early 1990s, and the two met after Colorado’s Pro Day. Riddick said he hopes that Sanders “doesn’t go in the top three picks” and that he thinks Sanders’ camp “would tell you the same thing. There are other teams they want to go to.” Riddick listed the Saints, Steelers and Raiders as being “very good fits for [Sanders].”

According to PFF, Ersery allowed just one sack last season. The Texans, who currently hold the 25th overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, dealt Pro Bowl tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Commanders in March and are in the market for offensive line help at essentially every position.
