    Broncos waived WR Kendall Hinton.
The move comes as a bit of a shock considering the state of Denver’s wide receiver depth chart. Hinton is subject to waivers before he could revert to the Broncos’ practice squad, meaning he could still be back with the team at some point this season.
  • GB Quarterback #2

Malik Willis (right thumb) was limited on Wednesday.
Both Packers quarterbacks are evidently nursing throwing-arm injuries. Jordan Love (elbow) and Willis should be considered likely to play, given their early-week practice participation but this is officially a situation to monitor closely.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #5
Joshua Palmer (heel) did not practice on Wednesday.
The Chargers’ wide receiver corps is fairly banged up at this point and Palmer’s total inability to practice thus far this week makes him the least likely to suit up on Saturday. It could come down to a game-time decision but his Thursday availability should give us an idea of his status.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #1
Quentin Johnston (thigh/illness) did not practice on Wednesday.
Johnston was only listed with the thigh ailment while participating in a limited capacity on Tuesday so the illness is a new, worrying development. While Johnston is likely to play through both issues, his Thursday practice participation should give us a better idea of his overall health. Practicing in full would be a great sign.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #87
Simi Fehoko (elbow) practiced in full on Wednesday.
Fehoko has a chance to return from injured reserve this week. No. 2 WR Quentin Johnston (thigh/illness) and Joshua Palmer (heel) were both sidelined on Wednesday so Fehoko’s improvement comes at the right time. He could suit up as the Chargers’ No. 3 WR this week.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #11
A.J. Brown (knee/rest) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Brown has been getting days off or limited practice sessions for weeks as the team carefully manages his knee issue. It hasn’t been a problem for him lately and won’t be on Sunday. Getting Week 18 off was a nice bonus for him and many other Philly starters as well. Brown will remain an elite fantasy option when he takes the field to face Green Bay for the opening round of the playoffs on Sunday.
  • LAC Running Back #4
Gus Edwards (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
The rotational rusher is on track to face the Texans on Saturday. Fantasy managers should not rely on him to produce gaudy fantasy-point sums though chipping in a rushing touchdown in a run-heavy game script is not out of the question.
  • PHI Quarterback #1
Jalen Hurts (concussion/left finger) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Hurts missed a meaningless Week 18 game because of the concussion. however, he didn’t practice at all last week, creating some minor concern that he wouldn’t clear the league’s concussion protocol in time for Philly’s Wild Card game. A limited practice to open the week puts him on track to suit up versus the Packers. All eyes will be on the Eagles’ next two practice reports in anticipation of a full practice for Hurts, but all signs point toward him playing. Kenny Pickett was also limited in practice as he continued to deal with a rib injury.
  • LAC Running Back #27
J.K. Dobbins (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Seeing Dobbins graduate to full participation on Thursday would be reassuring but his continued limited participation at least confirms he has not suffered a setback. Fantasy managers should expect him to handle his usual high-volume workload for Wild Card Weekend.
  • SF Quarterback #13
49ers GM John Lynch said he has interest in Brock Purdy “being around here for a long, long time.”
Both Lynch and Kyle Shanahan used qualified language but the intent appears clear; they want to sign Purdy to a long-term deal soon. Lynch referred to Purdy as “our guy,” saying, they “have interest in Brock being around here for a long, long time.” Shanahan took it a step further by saying he plans on Purdy remaining a 49er for the duration of Shanahan’s own tenure and even went so far as to say they are “capable of winning the Super Bowl with” Purdy. It sounds like the 49ers may have learned from past mistakes and will at least attempt to sign Purdy to a reasonable long-term extension well before the 2025 season begins. Throwing passes to a banged-up receiving corps, Purdy produced a respectable stat line, completing 300-of-455 passes for 3,864 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and rushed 66 times for 323 yards and five touchdowns.
  • Buccaneers S Antoine Winfield Jr. (knee) practiced in full on Wednesday.
Winfield has been unable to suit up on game day since suffering the knee injury in Week 14 and his return could prove pivotal in a potentially high-scoring game against the Commanders. Winfield returned to practice in a limited capacity last week so his continued improvement is a great sign.
