A former wide receiver turned tight end, Turner has a chance to contribute in his second season with the Commanders if he can stay healthy. Rivera praised Turner for having a “good grasp of the offense” early on and noted his ability to pick things up quickly. In his final 20 games at Nevada, Turner was one of the more productive tight ends in the nation, posting a 111-1282-19 line over his last two seasons. Washington did little to address the tight end position this offseason, and starter Logan Thomas will be 32 at the start of the season. While Turner still has a ways to go to earn significant playing time, he could force his way into the field with a strong camp.

Jurgens and Dickerson (knee) were absent Wednesday as well. The two OL stars are clearly hurt but will benefit from the two-week run-up to Super Bowl LIX. It would be great to see one or both of them return for tomorrow’s practice but it would be unsurprising to see the Eagles hold them out again.

Goedert is dealing with an ankle injury, which is likely contributing to the Eagles’ decision to rest him for a second straight day on Thursday. It wouldn’t be surprising if Goedert spent Friday on the sideline as well before ramping things up next week as the Eagles prepare to face the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

Smith is being listed with a hamstring injury and may not suit up at all this week, given that the Eagles still have another full week of practice next week. We’ll see if things change Friday, but the team could determine a full week of rest is best before ramping him up ahead of the Super Bowl.

It’s a disturbing report that, unfortunately, sounds all too familiar. Tucker is being accused by six massage therapists at four different spas and wellness centers in the Baltimore region for actions that include but are not limited to exposing himself and brushing his exposed self against other therapists while receiving treatment. The accusations were first reported to The Banner on January 9th of this year and span from 2012 to 2016. Tucker has reportedly been banned from at least two spas. His attorneys have already denied the allegations, calling them “impossible to prove” while also refuting the notion that Tucker was ever banned from the two alleged spas. Tucker later released a statement on his own, also denying the allegations. There will undoubtedly be more to this story in the coming days and weeks, but the veteran kicker, who is fresh off his most challenging season to date, may be on the outs once the Ravens and/or the league have time to conduct their own investigations into the matter.

Dorsey and the Cowboys have not had a formal interview, but Fowler reports that the two sides are figuring out a time when they can meet. Dorsey has served as offensive coordinator for the Bills and Browns over the last two seasons and was fired at the end of the 2024 campaign following an abysmal first season with the Browns. Cleveland’s quarterback situation didn’t do Dorsey any favors, as Deshaun Watson struggled to produce when healthy and saw his season come to an end due to a torn Achilles he suffered in Week 7. Last season, the Browns ranked fourth in early down pass rate and eighth in pass rate over expected. Dorsey’s propensity to want to push the ball downfield could play well for Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Jake Ferguson if he were to make his way to the Lone Star State.

Brutal but not surprising. Burton was drafted No. 80 overall by the Bengals last season as a high-risk, high-reward dart throw. The talented rookie out of Alabama caught just four passes for 107 scoreless yards in 2024 and was held out of the team’s season-finale against the Steelers due to a coach’s decision. He was already considered to be on the roster bubble before this quote from Tobin, which came at the Senior Bowl, but this seems to add another layer to his uncertain future with the organization. Tobin went on to point out that the Bengals knew they “were taking a risk” when they drafted Burton and added that they thought they “could help him through some of the challenges he’s had in the past” but also said Burton is “going to have to start doing something quickly.”

Graham suffered a torn triceps in the Eagles’ Week 12 win over the Rams and missed the remainder of the regular season. With a little less than two weeks to go before the Super Bowl, Graham will now have a chance to practice in hopes of suiting up for the Eagles as they aim to end the Chiefs’ hope of a three-peat. In addition to Graham, the Eagles also designated TE C.J. Uzomah for return and signed RB Lew Nichols to their practice squad.

Covington spent last season as the Patriots’ defensive coordinator but first joined their staff in 2017 as a coaching assistant. He was promoted to their DL coach in 2020 and served in that role until 2023. It was reported earlier that Covington, who interviewed earlier this month for the Bengals’ defensive coordinator vacancy, was not expected to return to the Patriots after they went out and hired Mike Vrabel as head coach. Now, he’ll have a chance to start over in Green Bay. In addition to Covington, the Packers also hired former quarterback Sean Mannion as their quarterbacks coach.

Tobin said a new deal for Ja’Marr Chase is a top priority this offseason but added that the team is also interested in signing Higgins to an extension. “It’s going to be hard” to keep both players, Tobin noted, but he’s hopeful the Bengals and Higgins can agree to something comfortable for both sides based on his experience, playing time, and production over the first five seasons. The Bengals are saying all of the right things, but a number that might be “right” for the Bengals may not necessarily be right for Higgins, who is expected to field several lucrative offers on the open market. There will be plenty of time for the two sides to negotiate before free agency kicks off later this year, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Higgins opted to test free agency regardless.

Tafur also points out that the Raiders still have to bring in other candidates to interview for the position, but Bevell continues to be the leader in the clubhouse. The long-time Seahawks’ offensive coordinator (2011-2017) has a great relationship with new Raiders head coach Pete Carroll and saw his offense finish in the top 10 in scoring in four of his eight years with the team. Bevell also had brief stints with the Lions (2019-2020) and the Jaguars (2021) as offensive coordinator and currently works as the Dolphins QB coach and passing game coordinator.
