  • LAC Tight End #83
Texans signed TE Eric Tomlinson, formerly of the Broncos.
Entering his eighth NFL season, Tomlinson somehow started 12 games for the Broncos in 2022, catching nine of 13 targets for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Mainly a blocking tight end, Tomlinson will join a Houston tight end room with Dalton Schultz and Brevin Jordan, among others.

  • CHI Wide Receiver #15
Rome Odunze caught 2-of-5 targets for 33 yards in the Bears’ Week 2 loss to the Texans.
The poor stat line comes after Odunze managed just one catch in his professional debut in Week 1, except this time the rookie failed to distinguish himself on the field without veteran Keenan Allen, the latter of whom missed the contest with a heel injury. The No. 9 overall pick has yet to live up to his lofty draft capital through two weeks, although the full brunt of his struggles are likely not his own as offensive coordinator Shane Waldron’s offense has looked flat and uninspiring through two games.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #2
DJ Moore caught 6-of-10 targets for 53 yards in the Bears’ Week 2 loss to the Texans.
Moore and rookie quarterback Caleb Williams have yet to demonstrate a viable on-field connection through two weeks, something that boiled over through visible frustration in the fourth quarter of the team’s Week 2 loss to the Texans. Moore’s route running acumen was on full display, routinely generating separation from Houston defenders, the most glaring of which came in the fourth quarter when he created vast amounts of separation on the sideline for a back shoulder throw that Williams simply missed wide. Moore was then seen demonstrating clear frustration as he walked to the sideline, continuing his rant once on the bench. The two will need to get on the same page in a hurry if they are to salvage the season for fantasy purposes.
  • CHI Running Back #4
D’Andre Swift rushed 14 times for 18 yards in the Bears’ Week 2 loss to the Texans, adding 24 yards on four receptions.
Not only does the box score leave a lot to be desired, but it was backup running back Khalil Herbert that scored the only touchdown for the Bears after taking the goal line carries in this one. Swift struggled mightily behind an offensive line that struggled to find cohesion during the preseason, a trend that has carried forward into the first two weeks of the regular season. Either way, fantasy managers that invested a middle-round pick in the veteran back are surely wanting more after two weeks of play, to the extent that they might need to start looking for other options either through trade or on the waiver wire. Things do get easier in Week 3, however, as the Bears travel to take on the sieve-like Colts in Indianapolis.
  • CHI Quarterback #18
Caleb Williams completed 23-of-37 passes for 174 yards and two interceptions in the Bears’ 19-13, Week 2 loss to the Texans, adding 44 yards on five carries.
The preseason struggles of the offensive line continued forward into Week 2 as Williams took seven sacks and threw two interceptions against a stingy, zone-heavy Texans defense. Even so, the Bears were within striking distance throughout on the backs of their defense, getting the ball back with under two minutes remaining with a chance to drive the field and sneak out with another late victory. Penalties also plagued the Bears under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football as the team committed nine infractions for 60 yards on the evening. Either way, that now marks two consecutive shaky outings for the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft, with the Bears stealing a win away from the Titans on the backs of two second half defensive scores in Week 1. Offensive coordinator Shane Waldron has to take some of the brunt here as his offense has looked flat and uninspiring through two games, something he and Williams need to correct if this team is to turn the corner this season. Up next for the 1-1 Bears is a road date with the Colts in Week 3.
  • HOU Running Back #28
Texans RB Joe Mixon (ankle) returned to the game in the third quarter of Week 2 against the Bears.
Mixon was taken initially to the medical tent before heading to the locker room with medical staff after injuring his ankle at the start of the third quarter. He was ruled as questionable to return but eventually made his way back to the sideline where he would test the ankle and return to the game. Fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief.
  • HOU Running Back #28
Texans RB Joe Mixon (ankle) is questionable to return to Week 2 against the Bears.
Mixon had a defender roll up on his ankle in the third quarter and was immediately taken to the medical tent. He was in the tent for under a minute before being taken to the locker room. The team deemed him questionable to return but it does not look promising for the veteran running back.
  • HOU Running Back #28
Texans RB Joe Mixon was taken to the medical tent in the third quarter of Week 2 against the Bears.
Mixon looked to be on the receiving end of a hip-drop tackle. No update has been provided by the team at this time but it appeared to be an ankle injury. Further updates will be provided.
  • GB Running Back #32
MarShawn Lloyd had six rushes for 15 yards in the Packers’ Week 2 win against the Colts, adding one catch for three yards.
Lloyd had an 11-yard scamper called back on a penalty, and looked explosive in his first action as a pro. He played well behind Josh Jacobs, who had 32 carries for 151 yards on the day. Emanuel Wilson had five rushes in Week 2. Lloyd appears to be Green Bay’s No. 2 back behind Jacobs and should be rostered in most formats.
  • GB Tight End #85
Tucker Kraft caught all three of his targets for 31 yards in the Packers’ Week 2 win against the Colts.
Kraft again played over Luke Musgrave, logging 14 routes on 20 Malik Willis drop backs while Musgrave had nine routes. Musgrave was a dump-off safety blanket for Willis. He made a couple critical first downs after catching the ball in short-area traffic and slipping a tackle or two. Neither Kraft nor Musgrave will hold much fantasy interest until Jordan Love returns in Week 5. It’s noteworthy that Kraft appears to be the clear TE1 though.
  • GB Wide Receiver #87
Romeo Doubs caught 3-of-3 targets for 62 yards in the Packers’ Week 2 win against the Colts.
Doubs’ three receptions constituted 25 percent of the team’s catches on the day. Malik Willis found Doubs down the sideline for his biggest completion of the game — a 40-yard floater that looked to be an interceptions before Doubs skied and snatched the ball from the defender. Doubs, who in Week 1 led the Packers with seven targets, won’t be a reliable fantasy play until Jordan Love returns, perhaps in Week 5.
