Jets selected Pittsburgh OT Carter Warren with the No. 120 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Warren (6’5.5/311) was a 3-star recruit, and the 48th-ranked offensive tackle in the 2017 recruiting class, according to 247 Sports. Warren has been out of the spotlight recently thanks to a knee injury that kept him out for the last nine games of the 2022 season as well as the pre-draft process. However, his 39 starts in college show experience, even if it took him six years to get to that number. Warren is the only player to rival Dawand Jones’ wingspan in this class. He effectively keeps defenders at bay with quick punches despite his small hands. Warren has made a living off of winning engagements, even if he struggles to get to that point. If he can learn not to overset and to improve his hand accuracy, he can sell his ideal frame to a coaching staff.
