Jones worked with new Jets OL coach Keith Carter in Tennessee. The veteran has a history of stellar play, but missed a lot of time with concussions last season and has seen almost no interest since being released nine days ago. The Jets have already added Wes Schweitzer and Trystan Colon to the interior line in free agency.

Shepard dealt with foot and hamstring injuries in December and has apparently swapped out the latter issue for a knee injury. The team’s No. 3 WR is effectively a touchdown-dependent fantasy option at this point though his early-week participation at least bodes positively for his availability.

It is unclear as to when the injury occurred but practicing in full on a Wednesday is generally a positive sign. McMillan is playing exceptionally well right now, having caught 24-of-31 targets for 316 yards and seven touchdowns over the last five games. He remains a high-end fantasy starter for Wild Card Weekend unless the team reveals actionable, negative information regarding the finger issue.

Hill was limited in Tuesday’s session after missing Baltimore’s Week 18 win over the Browns. He shed the non-contact jersey on Wednesday and should be cleared from the injury report tomorrow. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken said Hill’s illness made it impossible for him to clear the league’s concussion protocol last week but it will be great to have him back for the Wild Card Round. Expect a normal workload for the receiving specialist on Saturday.

Daniels was reportedly hampered by leg soreness in-game last week and Wednesday’s injury report reveals it to be a quad-related issue. Fortunately, he is already practicing in full and should be his typically elite, dual-threat self against the Buccaneers this weekend.

Otton initially suffered the injury in Week 15 and has been unable to suit up on game day ever since. He has strung together three straight limited practice sessions though, putting him on track to return for Wild Card Weekend. With target-hog Mike Evans in the lineup, Otton is just a touchdown-dependent fantasy option.

The move won’t be official until the new league year but is a done deal either way. Lynch noted that the team has interest in bringing Hargrave back for the 2025 season after he is released. San Francisco signed the veteran pass-rusher to a four-year, $80 million contract two years ago. He tallied a modest seven sacks in 2023 and missed all but three games because of a torn tricep this year. The 49ers will only save $2.4 million in cap space while incurring a dead cap hit of $25 million, spread over two years.

The 4-13 Raiders closed the 2024 regular season on a two-win streak, pushing their 2025 NFL draft spot down to the sixth overall pick. With no long-term quarterback options in-house, the Raiders must now convince Johnson that they are willing to somehow acquire their quarterback of the future despite their self-sabotaging, late-season competitiveness. Securing an interview with the highly coveted offensive coordinator is at least one positive step toward turning this franchise around. Players like Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers and an above-average offensive line could at least provide Johnson with offensive building blocks.

Flowers did not practice on Tuesday and was not spotted during Wednesday’s session, marking another DNP for the young wideout. Head coach Jim Harbaugh called him day to day on Monday. Even if he misses Saturday’s game, it sounds like there is a good chance Flowers is ready to suit up for the Divisional Round, assuming Baltimore takes care of business against Pittsburgh. In the meantime, Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews will shoulder more of the receiving workload versus the Steelers.

Cooper missed a meaningless Week 18 game for personal reasons and had not returned to the team as of Monday. He was back on the field for a full practice today and is good to go for Buffalo’s Wild Card Round date with the Broncos. The team also listed a back injury for Cooper on their report, though it didn’t limit him in practice and is a non-issue. Splitting time and targets in a crowded receiver room, Cooper will be a boom/bust fantasy option for the opening round of the playoffs.

As Albert Breer notes, Glenn now has interview requests from all six teams in need of a new head coach. He and fellow Lion Ben Johnson are the two hottest names on the coaching circuit this time around. If Glenn wants to leave Detroit, he will have his choice of jobs, save for Johnson possibly being the preferred option by some teams. The Patriots gig would come with Drake Maye and a top-five draft pick but more holes than talent on the roster elsewhere, making it largely a page one rewrite for Glenn.
