  • KC Defensive Back #21

Chiefs CB Trent McDuffie (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday.
McDuffie went on injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1. His return means the team will open his 21-day window to be activated from injured reserve once transactions are processed. All reports have his recovery going well, giving him a shot at playing in Week 6 against the Bills. Getting the first-round rookie, a starter for the defense in Week 1, back should help the defense in the long run. We don’t expect his return to have any ill effects on Josh Allen’s production this week.

  • NYG Linebacker #58

Giants LB Bobby Okereke (back) did not practice Wednesday.
Head coach Brian Daboll called Okereke week to week, meaning he’s unlikely to suit up versus the Saints. Okereke has two sacks, three forced fumbles, and a pair of recovered fumbles this year. He also leads the Giants in combined tackles.
  • NYG Tackle #73
Giants RT Evan Neal (hip) did not practice Wednesday.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll called Neal and left tackle Jermaine Eluemanor week to week with hip and quad injuries. Drew Lock will be behind backups at both tackle spots this week and possibly for the rest of the season.
  • NO Center #51
Saints RG Cesar Ruiz (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.
Ruiz left Week 13 with concussion symptoms and did not return. Per head coach Darren Rizzi, Ruiz has made some progress through the league’s concussion protocols. That gives him a shot at suiting up on Sunday. His practice statuses over the next two days will be telling.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #11
Jaguars signed WR Josh Reynolds, formerly of the Broncos.
That didn’t take long. Reynolds was released by the Broncos on Tuesday. The field-stretching wide receiver helps replace Gabe Davis (meniscus), who is out for the year. Reynolds is unlikely to be fantasy-relevant with Mac Jones under center, now that Trevor Lawrence (shoulder/concussion) is on injured reserve though.
  • NO Tight End #83
Juwan Johnson (foot) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
It’s likely a maintenance day for the veteran tight end. With Taysom Hill done for the year, Johnson will be tasked with a larger role going forward. He saw seven targets on Sunday and that could be close to the weekly norm for him with the Saints absurdly thin at receiver and tight end. Johnson is creeping up the TE2 ranks for his Week 14 matchup with the Giants.
  • NO Running Back #25
Kendre Miller (hamstring) is practicing in full for Week 14 against the Giants.
Miller was designated to return from injured reserve this week. He was seemingly put on injured reserve by head coach Dennis Allen out of spite. Allen was later fired and interim head coach Darren Rizzi made it clear earlier this week that Miller was not in the dog house for him. If activated, Miller could eat into Alvin Kamara’s gargantuan workload as the Saints look to evaluate the second-year back while also reducing the veteran’s touch total. Miller is worth a stash in deep leagues.
  • MIA Running Back #31
Raheem Mostert (hip) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Mostert got banged up with the hip issue in Week 11 but hasn’t missed any time because of it. The veteran back saw seven touches in Week 13, his highest total since Week 9, but only turned that into 34 yards. He is a touchdown-or-bust RB5 for his upcoming date with the Jets.
  • LV Running Back #22
Alexander Mattison (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Mattison’s practice status gives us little to go on. He was limited through Week 13 before the team ultimately rendered him inactive. He is not usable in fantasy regardless but he could negatively impact RB Sincere McCormick’s Week 14-viability. Zamir White (quadricep) also remained sidelined.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #10
Tyreek Hill (wrist/rest) did not practice Wednesday.
This is standard procedure for Hill, who suffered the wrist injury in the offseason and had it flare up on him a few weeks ago. Hill will continue to play through the issue barring a setback with offseason surgery all but guaranteed. Hill rebounded from a quiet Week 12 with six grabs for 83 yards and a touchdown last week, keeping him in the WR2 ranks for his upcoming matchup with the Jets.
  • TB Running Back #7
Bucky Irving (hip/back) did not practice on Wednesday.
This was expected. Irving injured his hip on a meaningless kick return with five seconds left in the first half last week but he returned to play for the second half, totaling a career-high 25 carries in the process. Fantasy managers should expect to have him out there for Week 14, though this is a situation to monitor. Sean Tucker can be added where available.
