Vikings selected LSU OL Ed Ingram with the No. 59 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Ingram (6’3/307) was a 35-game starter after signing with LSU as a four-star recruit. In 2021, he was named Second Team All-SEC. Ingram is built like a lunchbox, sawed-off and broad-shouldered. Equipped with the hand strength of a boxer and active feet, Ingram establishes a tone with his punch and looks to finish you off with footwork. He’s a fluid mover who consistently threatens second-level linebackers, athleticism he proved during the pre-draft process with a 74th-percentile relative athletic score. He is a heady player with a mean streak who didn’t take a penalty the past two seasons. Ingram’s punch power stuns defenders, but he can be beaten on recovery due to a propensity to prioritize initial pop over keeping a stable base. If he can clean that up, he should be a fit for any system. He reminds us of Jonah Jackson.
