  • KC Offensive Coordinator
Chiefs named Matt Nagy as quarterbacks coach.
And so he goes back to the Andy Reid cocoon, also picking up a senior assistant tag. As far as landing spots for rehabilitating your reputation go, it’s hard to pick better than Reid and Patrick Mahomes. Eric Bieniemy’s tenuous contract situation and desire to be a head coach elsewhere should also create a natural stepping stone for Nagy back to offensive coordinator at some point. It’s tough to find a downside to this for the Chiefs as long as Nagy won’t be the only person involved in the playcalling. Nagy replaces Mike Kafka, who left to be New York’s offensive coordinator.

  • LV Running Back #22
Alexander Mattison rushed five times for 60 yards in the Raiders’ Week 4 win over the Browns.
Mattison didn’t see the ball much in this game despite the Raiders running the ball 29 times compared to 24 pass attempts. Zamir White soaked up the bulk of the carries, rushing 17 times for 50 yards. The Raiders also had two rushing touchdowns from wide receivers. Mattison made the most of his carries with gains of 18 and 24 yards compared to a long run of 17 for White. Mattison isn’t getting enough work to be a reliable fantasy option but is an anchor on White’s fantasy outlook. He ranks as a touchdown-or-bust RB5 for Vegas’s Week 5 matchup with the Broncos.
  • KC Wide Receiver #4
Rashee Rice is feared to have suffered a torn ACL and will undergo an MRI tomorrow.
Andy Reid said Rashee Rice’s knee injury is “not good” during an interview with CBS as the Chiefs headed into the locker room at halftime. That Rice was declared out immediately after being carted off the field likely means Rice will miss significant time, if not the rest of the regular season.
  • WAS Wide Receiver #12
Luke McCaffrey caught his lone target for 17 yards in the Commanders’ Week 4 win over the Cardinals.
McCaffrey was out-played by Olamide Zaccheaus in this one, as Zaccheaus drew a season-high six targets in the win. McCaffrey’s lone reception came in the third quarter and went for 17 yards. It helped set up an eventual touchdown pass to Terry McLaurin, but McCaffrey is a non-factor in fantasy at this time.
  • KC Tight End #87
Travis Kelce caught 7-of-9 targets for 89 yards in the Chiefs’ Week 4 win against the Chargers.
The Chiefs were clearly intent on feeding the aged Kelce after a terribly slow start to the regular season. No other KC player had more than four targets on the day. The loss of Rashee Rice (knee) may have forced more looks Kelce’s way — a trend that could very well continue if Rice is out for an extended period. The Chiefs’ check-down offense could be centered on peppering Kelce from here on out. He’ll face the Saints in Week 5.
  • LV Running Back #3
Zamir White rushed 17 times for 50 yards in the Raiders’ Week 4 win over the Browns.
White out-carried Alexander Mattison 17-5, but his day will primarily be remembered for the fumble-six he coughed up in the fourth quarter. White got stood up behind the line of scrimmage before a second Cleveland defender drilled him, springing the ball out of his hands for a Rodney McLeod scoop-and-score. Alexander Mattison was the only back to see a carry on the following two drives, though White returned for one attempt, a five-yard loss, on the Raiders’ final drive. Mattison will continue to be a thorn in his side in Week 5 against the Broncos, keeping White stuck in the RB3 ranks for now.
  • ARI Tight End
Elijah Higgins caught 2-of-3 targets for 12 yards in the Cardinals’ Week 4 loss to the Commanders.
Filling in for Trey McBride (concussion), some fantasy managers hoped Higgins, a former receiver, could turn into a quality one-week fantasy option. That didn’t quite come to fruition, as Higgins managed just two receptions on three targets for a forgettable Week 4. McBride is expected to return in Week 5 against the 49ers if he clears concussion protocol.
  • NE Quarterback #7
Jacoby Brissett completed 19-of-32 passes for 168 yards, one touchdown and one interception and rushed two times for three yards in the Patriots’ 13-30, Week 4 loss to the 49ers.
Brissett was sacked six times and failed to identify wide-open pass catchers streaking across the field. The veteran quarterback adds little to the Patriots’ offense. He is not a recommended start against the Dolphins next week.
  • GB Wide Receiver #9
Matt LaFleur told reporters that that he “talked to Christian Watson and he told me he thought it was just a sprain.”
Watson appeared to be in considerable pain before being carted from the field so this is technically a positive. Both the type of sprain and the severity have yet to be revealed though. The injury occurred when Watson’s foot got trapped under a defender’s body, as the latter player delivered a hit that buckled Watson’s knee inward. It appeared to be a classic eversion event.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #2
Amari Cooper caught 4-of-8 targets for 35 yards in the Browns’ Week 4 loss to the Raiders.
Cooper was almost entirely absent from the box score entering halftime. He had one catch on one target for two yards after two frames. Deshaun Watson keyed in on him in the second half, though it wasn’t always for the best. Watson hit Cooper with a downfield bullet in the middle of the third quarter and Cooper deflected the pass into the air for a fly ball interception from Raiders safety Tre’Von Moehrig. Cooper’s snakebitten day continued late in the fourth quarter when he got behind Vegas’s secondary for an 82-yard score, only for the play to be called back by a shockingly minor holding penalty. Cooper now has three scoreless games under 40 yards and an 86-yard, two-score outing in Week 3. Deshaun Watson’s struggles have made Cooper consistency nightmare and his recurring drops have done Watson no favors. Cooper is a high-risk WR2 for his Week 5 matchup with Washington.
  • ARI Wide Receiver #4
Greg Dortch caught 4-of-4 targets for 38 yards in the Cardinals’ Week 4 loss to the Commanders.
Fantasy managers who spent all offseason getting Dortch pilled are still waiting on their return. The Cards’ slot receiver topped out at 47 receiving yards in Week 1 and has managed just 84 yards over the last three weeks. Dortch came close to scoring on the Cardinals’ first offensive drive but fell just short of the end zone only to see Marvin Harrison Jr. score two plays later. Dortch shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a WR5 in Week 5 against the 49ers.
