Jackson (5'9/185) flashed his big-play ability from last season for the Green Wave. While he only caught two passes, he made the most of them. His two catches were for 50 and 43 yards in a game where Tulane lived and died by the big play. Going into Thursday’s contest, Johnson only had six receptions for 42 yards on the season, but he showed that more opportunities should be coming his way the rest of the season. The Green Wave take on Cincinnati next Saturday.

Minshew reportedly won the camp battle for the starting quarterback position due to head coach Antonio Pierce’s confidence in his ball security, something the two turnovers and four sacks taken could work to prompt the coach to revisit moving forward. The Raiders seemed to be in control of the game after taking a 7-6 lead into half time but managed just an additional field goal the rest of the way. Minshew largely spread the ball around as he danced away from pressure throughout the game, targeting first-round rookie tight end the most with eight targets. His pocket presence looked spotty at times as did his progressions, even though the offensive scheme appeared to be generating one-on-one matchups all over the field. There might be a continuation of the offseason starting quarterback discussion brewing in Las Vegas.

Okonkwo ever-so-slightly Moss’d Tyrique Stevenson on his 17-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter but was otherwise invisible along with the rest of the Titans’ passing game as Will Levis attempted to set the quarterback position 10 years. Okonkwo is not looking like a compelling TE2 streamer ahead of Week 2 against the Jets.

Moreau suffered the concussion late in the Saints’ Week 1 win over the Panthers and did not return. It’s a frustrating injury for Moreau after a breakout performance with four catches and a touchdown. If Moreau can’t suit up in Week 2 against the Cowboys, fellow tight end Juwan Johnson will see the bulk of the true tight end snaps, giving him some TE2 value.

Burks’ missed connection was a horrendous drop. Will Levis was the Titans’ biggest problem this afternoon, but Burks isn’t going to be part of the solution any time soon.

Bolles left in the early portion of the fourth quarter with the ankle injury. The 32-year-old will likely miss the rest of Sunday’s contest against Seattle, and Matt Peart will handle protecting Bo Nix’s blindside while he’s out.

Havenstein entered the game listed as questionable and will ultimately miss Week 1 with an ankle injury suffered in camp. As expected, wide receiver Puka Nacua is active after being removed from the injury report earlier in the week.

Johnson got home with a 16-yard toss into the end zone just before halftime but split snaps with Foster Moreau. Moreau was targeted four times and caught all four of his looks for 43 yards and a score. Johnson’s role wouldn’t normally be enough to warrant a look off the waiver wire, but Moreau left the game late with a head injury and is now in the concussion protocol. If he can’t go in Week 2, Johnson would be in line for the bulk of the tight end snaps. Johnson will rank as a high-upside TE2 if Moreau is unavailable versus the Cowboys.

Boyd out-targeted a hobbled DeAndre Hopkins 5-1, but only Calvin Ridley exceeded 20 yards amongst the Titans’ pass catchers as Will Levis stunk up the joint. Until Levis demonstrates progress and the Titans actually open up the offense, Boyd appears to be PPR irrelevant.

Nothing to see here for one of the healthier teams to enter Week 1. The big headline from this game is the return of quarterback Matthew Stafford to Detroit.

Ferguson caught a ball in the flat and was tackled awkwardly near the sideline. He screamed as he hit the turf and needed help to get to the Dallas sideline. Ferguson had three catches for 15 yards on five targets before his exit. His loss would be a big blow for the Cowboys passing attack.
