Texas redshirt sophomore WR Jordan Whittington (clavicle) will not play for the remainder of the regular season.
Whittington (6'1"/206) was ruled out for earlier in the week and had surgery on that collarbone this past Wednesday, but now a clearer timetable on return has been presented. There is a chance Whittington could play in the Big 12 championship if the Longhorns make it there, or in a bowl game. In the meantime, head coach Steve Sarkisian indicated that Marcus Washington moves into that starting role, but also Kelvontay Dixon should have a “great opportunity” as well. Texas will host No. 12 Oklahoma State on Saturday.
