Texas redshirt junior DB Josh Thompson (hamstring) was able to participate in Monday’s practice.
Thompson (6'0/191) was sidelined due to a hamstring issue, but he’s back in the fold now. The redshirt junior started all ten games for the Longhorns last season, accounting for 28 total tackles (19 solo, three for loss), three pass breakups, two quarterback hurries and one interception. Thompson will once again be a key figure in the secondary for the Longhorns, who are looking to make a major splash in Steve Sarkisian’s first season at the helm.
