Jaguars signed Illinois WR Josh Imatorbhebhe.
A four-star prospect coming out of high school, Imatorbhebhe transferred to Illinois for his final two collegiate seasons after playing one season at USC, where he was buried on the team’s depth chart due to injury. In seven 2020 games, Imatorbhebhe caught 22 passes for 297 yards (13.5 yards per reception) and three scores. The big-bodied wideout (6'2, 220) was Illinois’ top receiver in 2019 -- when he scored nine touchdowns on 33 receptions -- and the shortened 2020 season. Imatorbhebhe, 23, is raw player who struggled with route running and some of the finer points of the receiver position. He has a ways to go before he climbs Jacksonville’s wideout depth chart.

ESPN’s Todd Archer reports that Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown (knee) said his recovery “pace” is “ahead” of where it was when he injured his knee two years ago.
Overshown is comparing his current recovery from a torn ACL, MCL and PCL to his torn ACL injury from the 2023 preseason. His timetable remains uncertain, though. Overshown adds that there is “no need to rush the process” and that he is “going to come back when [he is] 100%" ready to do so.
How Olave, Shaheed can benefit from Shough at QB
Kyle Dvorchak unpacks the reports of New Orleans Saints wide receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed completely recovering from their injuries, analyzing how both can benefit with rookie Tyler Shough at QB.
  • LV Tight End #89
Raiders OC Chip Kelly spoke about his team’s offense during Thursday’s media availability, saying, “you always adapt to your personnel.”
That’s a good sign for tight end Brock Bowers, who was selected first-team All-Pro as a rookie last season. In 2024, Bowers set an NFL rookie record for most receptions (112). He also established a new league benchmark for receiving yards by a rookie tight end (1,194), eclipsing the former record set by Hall of Famer Mike Ditka in 1961. Kelly also spoke about the possibility of playing both Bowers and fellow tight end Michael Mayer at the same time. The newest addition to the Raiders’ offense is running back Ashton Jeanty, who was the sixth overall pick in last month’s NFL Draft. “Ashton is talented a back ... as I’ve seen,” said Kelly during Thursday’s media session. “His ability to sustain runs after contact ... is a rare quality.”
  • GB Wide Receiver #17
Packers signed WR Sam Brown Jr. to a contract.
Brown is an undrafted free agent rookie who spent two college seasons at West Virginia, two more at Houston, and his fifth and final season at Miami. While he is extremely unlikely to be relevant in re-draft formats, Packers wide receiver scouts have done a good job of finding depth players in recent seasons. He could be a name to know for deep dynasty leagues. The Packers waived DE Jeremiah Martin in a corresponding move.
  • LAR Running Back #23
Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters that there has been “healthy and positive progress” in contact negotiations with Kyren Williams.
McVay sang praises for both Williams and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. McVay also confirmed that Williams is participating in voluntary organized team activities, and celebrated Williams for his “great willingness to come out here to work.” Williams has worked harder than all but two NFL running backs over the last two full seasons, totaling 663 touches during that span. The figure trails only Saquon Barkley (770) and Derrick Henry (694). Unfortunately for Williams, that workload may be working against him at the negotiating table. Although he turns just 25 in August, the Rams may seek to keep an extension limited to two or three seasons. Williams is scheduled to hit free agency after this season.
  • NYJ Defensive Tackle #95
ESPN’s Rich Cimini reports Jets DT Quinnen Williams was not present for the team’s voluntary organized team activities on Thursday.
At this point, there is no reason to worry. Williams is handsomely paid, and his contract runs through the 2027 season. All reports regarding his health checkout as well. Williams should rejoin his team soon. Jets WR Malachi Corley was present but did not participate. Per ESPN’s Rich Cimini, Corley sat out with an apparent injury.
  • LAR Tackle #76
Rams signed OT David Quessenberry, formerly of the Vikings, to a one-year contract.
Quessenberry appeared in four games for the Vikings last year, allowing eight quarterback pressures and one sack. At this point in his career, Quessenberry is best suited to a backup role, ideally playing on the right side of the line when needed.
  • DAL Quarterback #4
Cowboys HC Brian Schottenheimer said QB Dak Prescott is “in the developmental phase.”
“There are things we’re tweaking with Dak,” added Schottenheimer, who wouldn’t elaborate if that involved addressing Prescott’s ‘here we go’ cadence. Schottenheimer did offer “the biggest thing with the cadence ... is getting all the quarterbacks to kind of sound the same.” Last year, Prescott signed a four-year contract extension worth $240 million. His 2024 campaign, however, was cut short due to a season-ending hamstring injury in Week 9.
  • MIA Tight End #9
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Dolphins “have had trade discussions” with the Steelers regarding TE Jonnu Smith.
The talks reportedly occurred “after Smith expressed an interest in reworking his deal,” as he enters the final year of his contract. Smith carries a $4.64 million salary cap hit, though Schefter indicates Smith is set to earn $4.8 million. Schefter adds that “Smith’s preference, per sources, is to stay in Miami under a reworked deal.” Smith turns 30 years old in August, but “set the franchise record for a tight end in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns” just last year. Should the Dolphins and Steelers come to a trade agreement, the move would reunite Smith with his 2023 Falcons OC, Arthur Smith, who holds the same role with the Steelers. Smith caught 50-of-69 targets for 582 yards and three touchdowns that year, with the three former statistics marking then-career highs. Still, both he and the Dolphins would be better off with Smith remaining in Miami’s fantasy-friendly passing attack.
  • KC Wide Receiver #4
Patrick Mahomes told reporters that Rashee Rice (knee) looks like himself and has “no limitations.”
According to The Kansas City Star’s Sam McDowell, Rice was unable to participate in today’s voluntary organized team activities (OTAs) “because of an illness, not due to his injury,” adding that Rice is “progressing well.” This week’s OTAs are the first since the team hosted a one-off event on April 21st. The next session is scheduled for next week, from June 2-5. Assuming Rice’s ailment is behind him come Monday, the event should help us confirm whether Rice really is the new Mr. Unlimited. On April 1st, Reid told reporters that Rice was “on track to be ready” for training camp.
  • KC Running Back #10
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters that Isiah Pacheco “looks tremendous right now.”
Pacheco did not look tremendous when he returned to the lineup in Week 13, after suffering an ankle injury that included a fractured fibula in Week 2. He finished the season operating in a split backfield with Kareem Hunt, whom the team re-signed to a one-year, $1.5 million contract this offseason. Reid’s compliment is positive, but fantasy managers should view Pacheco as having a wide range of outcomes at this time. Of course, that range of outcomes does include a high-volume role in the Kansas City offense, which should not be discounted.
