Broncos selected LSU CB Kary Vincent Jr. with the No. 237 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Vincent (5'10/185) was one of the few non-elite prospects to opt out of the 2020 season. Even without that final season, though, Vincent had plenty of tape already out. Vincent was a top contributor to the Tigers defense in 2018 and 2019, serving as a hybrid safety and slot cornerback. Vincent is at his best when he can play from depth and drive on things he sees in front of him, which may suggest a full-time move to safety in the NFL. In man coverage, Vincent can get lost at the top of routes and does not always anticipate where opposing receivers are headed. That said, when Vincent gets moving in a direction, he can really fly across the field, even if the angles he takes are that of a chicken with its head cut off. Something along the line of a Jalen Mills kind of career could be in line for Vincent.
