New South Carolina TE coach Erik Kimrey said on Monday that he believes senior TE Nick Muse will return to school next season.
“He’s still working through some things... but I look forward to him coming back and being a great leader on this team. We need him,” Kimrey said when asked about Muse (6'4/250). The senior tight end, whose brother Tanner was a safety at rival Clemson, caught 30 passes for 425 yards and one touchdown in ten games this fall. Muse’s best performance came in a loss to Georgia, as he caught eight passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. Regardless of who new HC Shane Beamer picks to be his starting quarterback, Muse will be a valuable target for the Gamecocks in 2021.
