Taylor has spent the entire year on the reserve/NFI list. The second-round rookie is working his way back from knee surgery and seems doubtful to make a late season appearance. The Seahawks are likely getting a look at Taylor ahead of 2021.

Even though it didn’t help out his target volume any, Brock Bowers did play a season-high 81 percent of the snaps with Mayer out in Week 4. If Mayer remains away — and Pierce did not elaborate on the issue — it stands to reason that Bowers will continue to be an easy TE1 next week against the Broncos.

Mattison rushed five times for 60 yards in Week 4, but had 36% of the snaps to Zamir White’s 59%. White had 17 carries. This is not great news for White’s fantasy football viability this week, though at the same time the dreaded running back by committee might not hold enough for Mattison to have standalone value either. White probably falls closer to an RB3/FLEX, and Mattison probably is still just a desperation FLEX.

After some hope that Engram would suit up for Week 4’s matchup against the Texans, the veteran tight end opening the week as day-to-day doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Engram did not practice last week, so there’s a chance he could still face an uphill battle to get on the field, but Week 5 has been his assumed return date after the team opted not to place him on injured reserve, which would have required he miss a minimum of four games. We’ll see how things look when the team releases its first injury report on Wednesday.

Parsons suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Cowboys’ Week 4 win over the Giants but hasn’t been ruled out for Week 5’s tilt with the Steelers. The star pass-rusher has played through injuries in the past and has never missed a regular season game due to injury. It seems like a stretch that he would play in the team’s upcoming game, but with fellow pass-rusher DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) already ruled out for the foreseeable future, the need to have Parsons on the field becomes more amplified. We may not know about Parson’s availability until Friday or closer to game time.

Evans was a former first-round pick of the Titans back in 2018. Evans played in nine games for the Cowboys last season, totaling nine tackles in limited action, and was with the Falcons in 2022. He’s never lived up to the expectations that made him a first-rounder, but he’ll have a chance to restore his career under Raheem Morris once he gets up to speed. We’ll see if the team opts to elevate him in the coming days.

Corley has one target in three games and was inactive on Sunday behind Xavier Gipson and Irvin Charles. It doesn’t look like there will be a path to rookie-season relevancy for the Western Kentucky standout and he can be dropped in non-dynasty leagues.

There had been some speculation over whether or not the Jets could deal Reddick back to the Eagles after a report emerged that Reddick “wouldn’t mind going back to Philadelphia.” Unfortunately for Reddick and, at this point, the Jets, the league doesn’t allow this to happen. Reddick, who has yet to report to the Jets in any capacity since his introductory press conference, is staring down the barrel of a wasted 2024 season if he and the Jets can’t sort out their differences and/or work out a trade to another team ahead of this year’s trade deadline. The 30-year-old pass rusher is coming off an 11-sack season and has totaled 27 sacks over the last two years. Still on the final year of a three-year contract he signed back in 2022, Reddick would find himself in the same situation in 2025 if he doesn’t report to the Jets on or before their sixth game of the season, per Over the Cap.

Thompson will have an MRI to confirm, but if the worst is confirmed, the Panthers’ star linebacker will be out for the season. Thompson has been solid this season for the Panthers, totaling 35 tackles and two TFLs in his four games. He saw his 203-game season limited to just two games after fracturing his fibula in Week 2, making this the second-straight season in which he’s suffered a season-ending injury in the first month of the campaign.

Rapoport also adds that Badie, who flew home after being discharged from the hospital, did suffer a back injury that may land him on injured reserve, but this is by all accounts good news for the third-year back out of Missouri. It was a scary scene in the Meadowlands after Badie was carted from the field and then carried into the Broncos’ locker room after the play. We’ll know more about how much time he’s expected to miss later in the week, but it’s fair to assume Badie won’t be active for Week 5 against the Raiders.

Wicks’ season-high snap share came on the heels of a Christian Watson injury, but his 58 snaps were only seven fewer than Romeo Doubs (65), who led the team. Wicks led the Commanders with 13 targets against the Vikings and should see an increased role, with Watson likely to miss extended time. We should temper expectations for Wicks entering Week 5 against the Rams, but the second-year receiver has been targeted on an impressive 26.5 percent of his routes this season. He’ll have some appeal as a WR4 next week.
